Dana Coelho, Urban & Community Forestry Program Manager, spoke at the Talking TSE Urban Talk Series with presentation on “Urban Forestry as a Means of Building Ecological and Social Resilience” on May, 15 in Astana, Kazakhstan
Dana Coelho is a collaborative and innovative urban forestry and urban sustainability professional. She is currently serving as Urban & Community Forestry Program Manager for the Colorado State Forest Service, which provides assistance to communities to support the planting and maintenance of trees in cities and towns. She has over 15 years of work in academia, government, and nonprofit organizations focused on preserving and expanding equitable access to nature. Dana received a Masters of Science in Sustainable Development & Conservation Biology and a Masters of Public Policy from the University of Maryland in 2007. She completed her Bachelors of Urban & Environmental Planning degree with minors in architecture and environmental science at the University of Virginia in 2003.
