Oh my God. ! !!! Yes
ОтветитьIf this lunge works for you then FANTASTCI!!!!!! But.. IF NOT THEN PLEASE CONSIDER....THAT if someone really needs to lengthen their psoas THIS will invariably mean that their quadriceps (especially the rectus femoris) are WAY TOO tight. If that quadricep tension is NOT "effectively" addressed THEN Dr. Berg's "lunge" will ONLY have a very short term benefit. You can NOT JUST stretch a psoas to produce lasting relief. It doesn't work that way! Almost every comment claiming "success" with this stretch is talking about "it feels good" in the short term!!! Please consider that these quick, short term BOOSTS benefit us at the COST of understanding the "depth of therapy" that CURE requires. But "short cuts" get lots of views!!!!🤪🤑🤑😩
ОтветитьThe pso rite and the hip hook are the best things to release the psoas
ОтветитьDr. Berg looks really awesome. I mean that with all respect…
ОтветитьSl riding s bke is not good?
ОтветитьGreat
Ответитьhello Dr. Berg, my trainer tells me that before doing stretches it is essential to warm them up first. It's true? or for this type of exercise it is not necessary? thank you for your good advice

ОтветитьI think I have this issue, work at medical clinic setting Snd standing up, pivoting all day, me and coworker same symptoms and other coworkers. I did stretches twice and think helping already, thank you so much
ОтветитьWhat about if you stand all day, for hours? Can you have a sensitive psosas from standing?
ОтветитьYour demonstration was very informative but it would have been more effective without the background disturbance.
ОтветитьCan a tight psoas and/or hip flexors help compress the spine to the point where a disc bulge orrotates the nerves ?
Ответить10 or more hours on the computer, gaming and other things
ОтветитьDear Dr. Berg,
I came across my psoas problems through a yoga video by another author.
But you are the first one who probably went through my history yourself and described the problem solution well.
Like you, I rode mountain bikes for tens of thousands of miles with heavy mountain stages and that was pretty much my only sport and I sat in an office for 10 hours a day.
The orthopedist always just said, cycling is great, keep doing it, but I was able to cycle better afterwards than I could run. I felt there was something wrong: the left side at the hip was so shortened that I could not get into the cross-legged position, so burned the hip flexors on the left and at some point limped slightly and got pain from muscular tension of the psoas when walking longer distances in the lumbar region, which is also still present, but which I will now address with the warrior exercise in yoga shown by you.
Thank you very much!
Basic yoga move called warrior one. Keep your knee over your foot to be safe. If you are feeling locked up when you stand, do this for a few seconds. For long term care, hold a stretch for 30 seconds. (The Huberman lab on flexibility .)

ОтветитьI bow a lot to look after my mother, hold her from her bed then put her toilet and change her diapers etc., then over time I got a back pain, and I can feel these muscles are getting thicker by tough, if I lie down with my head down as well, it helps to stretch and walking dog help relax too. I tried your technique, seemed alleviate the pain.

ОтветитьDoctor kindly post some exercises foe berllotti syndrome
ОтветитьSitting 14hrs a day…😢
ОтветитьIs it just me or did he only stretch out one side no matter how many times he turned around? I skipped back several times just to make sure
ОтветитьI have had my psoas muscle bother me for two years without anyone being able to figure this out. I go to pt once a week. This exercise has changed my life. Really opens everything. My spasms also were bothering my nervous system and digestion system. Calming this muscle with this stretch helps resolve these issues!

ОтветитьA scientific overview of standing at a desk would be interesting 🙏🏻
ОтветитьBasically all the Warrior poses in yoga, been telling patients to do this all along (along with a bunch of other ones too). Glad to see your confirmation Dr. Berg!
Ответить5-6 hours approximately
ОтветитьPsoas is a powerful muscle. I had a labral tear with calcifications all around the head of my femur and psoas syndrome as a result from a horse fall years earlier. After years of physical therapy, bodywork, chiropractic, exercise and yoga (I'm also an advanced licensed massage therapist) I decided to get surgery to clean up that joint (of course the recovery is a story in itself). About six months prior to that surgery I started getting serious numbness in my right hand (same side as hip). I saw many specialists for that. Doctors told me it was from a nerve in my neck based on MRI (old car accident/whiplash arthritis) but I refused surgery or nerve injections until I resolved the hip as I had a hunch. I remember the night prior going into surgery being really stressed because I wasn't sure if I'd be able to use crutches with my hand/arm and wondered if I should've taken the doctors up on the injections. I woke up after surgery and I never had the numbness again in my hand. I'm sure it was the psoas finally getting a break and my posture not crunching down the rest of my spine to pinch the right shoulder and neck. I still make psoas stretches a big part of my daily routine and want to say never underestimate the power of the psoas, Thanks for your great videos.
ОтветитьI sit 6 hours a day
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьSo, basically yoga.
ОтветитьNeed knees over toes!
