For anybody encountering problems with the Boya while using the dead cat in the wind: cut out the foam that is inside, it really works!
ОтветитьConsistent test, thanks
ОтветитьI have the Rode Videomicro ME for phone, so far it's been good, but seeing your video i also tempt to have a Boya for back-up, but since it's not good with the wind so I'm happy with mine. I'm thankful seeing your video, short and precise, just what everyone needs to see
Ответитьfinally someone showing my ugly experience with boya
ОтветитьThe Rode seems to have more detail, especially in the high end. Both sound excellent though.
ОтветитьThis is the kind of review video that I want. just straight to the point. dude just get on with it. Take a lesson kids. This is how pros do it.
ОтветитьThis has been helpful. Thanks
ОтветитьRode makes your voice to sound tiny. Lacks of bass. Boya has a better fuller sound
ОтветитьVery nice comparison! Finally made me decide for Rode :)
Ответить👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
ОтветитьYou can't beat the quality of the Rode. Boya hung on until it started clipping not to mention quality control issues down the line.
Ответитьboya : little "bassy" , low frequency detail, balanced treble, noise cancelation 8/10 @ $25
rode : lower bass volume, balanced treble, anti windy, noise cancelation 9.6/10 @ $40

I compared them to my "Blink TX 500 B1".
I bought the Boya mic for €10 today lol.
ОтветитьI wonder how the owner of the australian company Röde.The name is danish and should be pronounced Röde not as in Rhode.
ОтветитьWas searching for a video like this.
ОтветитьThe Boya is too bassy in an unpleasant way (it hurts my ears) and it has pretty awful resonance. To make things even worse, shockmount and deadcat do nothing. In my case, one of the cable was also faulty and RF interference is an issue. So I ended up buying the Rode. Actually, two of it and then I packed it away. Recently however I found that the Boya actually sounds good as a "podcast" microphone, used very close up in the Rode Rycote shouckmount with a thick foamy... Just keep it far away from your phone...
ОтветитьBoya mm1 mic nomber 1 😊
ОтветитьVery useful video Dude!!
ОтветитьAfter a lot of hours, I've found you. Thank you man.
Ответитьperfect video bro!
ОтветитьThis is such a useful video, thanks man!
ОтветитьThankyou very much for the comparison!
ОтветитьRODE VIDEO MICRO IS BEST 👌🏼✊🏼💜🎼🎧📷
ОтветитьTotal rubbish
ОтветитьTotal rubbish.dont waist ya money
ОтветитьThanks for this! Made my mind up on the Boya based on your review.
ОтветитьThe only way to test is record a live band then with the crappy in-built phone mic.
ОтветитьI found no such difference so boya is cheap and i will go with boya
ОтветитьThanks for a honest and not paid review, helps a lot
ОтветитьBoya is better
ОтветитьAmazing review! Thank you 🎉
ОтветитьRode is better
ОтветитьI have the BOYA MM1 and I swear I hear not much difference for my recordings. Time for me to upgrade. Thanks for the vid.
ОтветитьThanks! Glad I watched this
Ответитьmay i know what software did you use for EQ?
Ответитьthx bro, its very informative and now i knew which one to go for. :)
ОтветитьThank you!!
ОтветитьHelpful! Thanks 🎉
ОтветитьGreat video man thank you so much
ОтветитьProbably RODE, thank you for the video
ОтветитьGood testing, resolved my problem
Ответить❤❤
ОтветитьWOW good job
Super comparison
Thank you for sharing
Stay safe and healthy
This is really one of the best comparison videos. Thumbs up!
ОтветитьGreat Review
just wanted to know about distance - in studio setup
how much distance is safe or good quality audio we get for both. because boya is good being cheaper for studio but with little distance if audio quality reduces than what is the point.
then I do hv JBL Usb mic with 3.5 mm output.
the boya sounds make better but when you record of electric fan? its sounds like crack.
Ответитьwhich would be better for a live performance? do they record in stereo or mono? does that matter?
ОтветитьI've had a few Rodes and thought they all sounded tinny. I'm really impressed with the low end of the Boya. You can always adjust the EQ later if you want a super crisp sound but the natural bass of the Boya is fantastic.
ОтветитьI'm Buying Boya MM-1
