I also bought 3 ada8200's because of this video. But I ended up buying two RME 12mic's.
ОтветитьBlack Lion will also modify the 8200 to make it even closer to the RME for still far less money.
ОтветитьThe RME sounds a tad louder. Definitely what you want to get if you want a louder recording. :P
ОтветитьListened to a well-treated room on tuned KH310. Difference is so minimal, that a mix will easily forgive the diff (mainly more sub and airy high on RME... like 10%). Also, if you are a bit comfy with DIY, from a tiny amount (compared to purchase price) you can have a decent mod and eliminate the difference.
Sometimes I really wonder when Behringer want to save money, why they cut procurement on trivially cheap components... I think anyone would pay 10% more and get a superb clean converter that is up in the higher league.
Please help what do I need to have in order to get output from all 8 output
I need the connection for live playing and singing
Behringer, although wish it had digital controlled gain, so don’t worry about knocking the knobs…
ОтветитьUh, this difference is scary small.
ОтветитьI do not really hear any differences
ОтветитьBehringer it is!
Ответитьwowwwwwwww
ОтветитьBehringer es la vuelta!
ОтветитьADA8200 wins
ОтветитьWhen it comes to reviews and comparison videos, I love it when someone does it right. This is a perfect example of doing it right! 😆 Thank you! ✌️
Ответитьi recorded a few session and no one was questioning the recording. not even me. Im sold !!! If you cant make music with this , then i dont know what to tell you.
ОтветитьInteresting test! Thank!
Ответитьgreat comparison, however the kick drum with the RME definitely has a sub bass thump which the ADA is missing. From comparison it feels the sub bass and top end is where the differences lie mostly. The midrange fight is pretty even!
ОтветитьCOOL. THANKS
Ответитьwhat about audient?
ОтветитьI'm listening through a $1000 DAC , top of the line headphone amp and headphones, and there is a difference, but it is not night and day by any chance. It is negligible and in some bits non existent.
Behringer in this case, gives you way more than RME in so far as cost/value ratio. It would be great to have the actual lossless audio files as YT sound is lossy and compressed. But even then, that is pretty much how people consume music nowadays. Not necessarily using state of the art DACs and instead using headphones that color the music heavily.
That being said, the more expensive and flashy piece of equipment justifies charging a higher hourly fee if you are doing this for the money.
Other than that, Behringer all day😂😂😂😂
Top end s snare sings a little bit more with RME but very similar!
ОтветитьBehringer wins)))
ОтветитьMinimal differences but crucial ones. I would buy RME if had the money
ОтветитьIf you listen face to face, Behringer is probably still below RME in performance. But price wise, Behringer is more economical in price. At least we can resemble RME by adding some digital plugin effects to make it more punchy.
ОтветитьThis is very cool, but I would be so interested in seeing the waveform close up! Comparing a few Snare and Kick transients, so see if there even is a visible difference in the waveform.
ОтветитьWell, it's a no brainer for people who are not making music commercially since the ADA8200 ist currently 13.5 times cheaper than the OctaMic XTC.
ОтветитьThe RME sounds more transparent, the transients and top end are more clear. If I had a pro studio I would go with the RME. But between you and me, if you want to record your own stuff, the difference between the two wont be the weekest link in the chain by far, and will in no way, past the mix stage, have any influence on the outcome of your production. There are a million other things along the way that will make a big difference.
ОтветитьNice playing!
The RME sounds quite a bit better IMO.
Excellent!!! Thank you
ОтветитьThis is the proof that only when you have a decent treated room, a good instrument and good microphones, then you buy expensive interfaces.
ОтветитьOctamix has more bright for Overheads and Rooms..
They are quite similar for close mics..
Спасибо!
ОтветитьThis is the best solution to my acoustic drum kit and 18 microphones. With two of them I record the entire kit. for guitars and vocals or snare I can use my favorite preamps in my master interface without problems, so Thomann in 321...
Ответитьsounds exactly the same
ОтветитьPlay some toms!
Ответитьvery little difference but i guess editing will be better with the sound from rme
Ответитьcompression to aac is not helping to compare these....
Ответитьwhat software is this?
ОтветитьBehringer is consistently half a dB to a dB louder, which means it will sound better.
ОтветитьTransient response is not all there is with preamps. Background noise characteristics and levels also matter. It would be interesting to see a comparison of those properties.
Ответить@producingbonito hi really great video, i would like to buy ada8200 to expand my mic input via ADAT .. i have even and RME QUADMIC preamp and i was thinking to connect them on the ada8200 to get the RME QUALITY.. the answer Is : if i connect RME QUADMIC to the ada8200 i Will bypass the bheringer preamp or in some ways the RME could be add to the bheringer preamp? I hope you understand what i m trying to Say
Ответитьwell, that cettainly prove that the ADA is not a problem
ОтветитьEs posible que el Berlinger diera todo su potencial... RME tiene para mucho mas y mas.
ОтветитьI've just purchased the ADA8200 to add more I/O in my studio. I'm pairing it with my Apollo x8P and Apollo Twin MK2. I was tempted to get an RME or even the Audient ASP880 (which I love) but the ADA8200 is an absolute bang for the buck
ОтветитьI have a problem with my ears :-)
I think, I have noticed a difference when my eyes were closed, but then I do no see, which one was the Beringer. At all, I cannot see any problem when getting the extra channels.
Whishlist: Behringer Uphoria 1820 and the ADA 8200 :-)
RME for life! more low-end and more definition!
ОтветитьGreat shootout! Different is really subtle.
ОтветитьWhat I have to say is both positive and negative about the ada 8000 and 8200. First, I’ve done many recordings with Ada 8000 and 8200 over about a 7 year period and they all for the part sound good, great even however, I can’t say much about durability! I’ve spent about $600.00 over 7 years in purchasing and replacement cost. While this is not a lot to spend in general on recording equipment it certainly diminished my expectations and confidence in the product. It is true you get sometimes what you pay for. This is not a behringer bashing rant because I’ve gotten my money’s worth over the years but, I decided to move on to audient 880 for drum capturing duties. I agree with most of the comments on the surface about the sound quality. If you’re going on just that run with the behringer but, from my experience I have to question durability after replacing two of them just my 2 cents. Behringer makes great digital consoles and so forth and hopefully improvements are made on the ada behringer units because this unit has great potential.
Ответитьvery subtle difference .. man, the ADA is really value for money
