Thank you!!! I was pretty sure at first that I had received the wrong model wind screen when I saw how small the opening was. I used a Dasani water bottle to make the “shoe horn” guide and it worked like a charm, thanks to your guidance.
ОтветитьNice solution! - I have this combo and would never have thought of this.
ОтветитьMy one question: is it pretty difficult to pull the SM57 back out?
ОтветитьThanks a lot for this...going to do it now :)
Have a blessed life!
Gah! Why didn't I see this before I got mine. I used an sm58, took the ball off and stuffed it inside the 81ws.
Took some work... Fortunately I didn't destroy the windsock...
This would have made my life 10x easier!! :) at least I know for next time.
! I LIKE !
ОтветитьThat's a hell of a fucking wind screen! I didn't realize it was so big. Excited for the fire sound though. Thanks for the tip!
ОтветитьWill this work for the Beta 57 as well? if not any suggestions on that?
ОтветитьThe tampon method.
ОтветитьJust used this hack, this made the install a breeze!
ОтветитьThank you so much!
ОтветитьWhat audio interface do you use for this mic?
Do you stream with this mic?
I'm thinking about getting one like this but still has doubts
You Sir........Well done.
ОтветитьOutstanding work there.
ОтветитьThis crappy piece of foam costs literally $100 (Australian dollars) landed into Australia. I am hoping your install method works lol
Ответитьgenius !! Thank you !!!
ОтветитьSimply Nasty and Genius!!!
ОтветитьI made a plastic collar out of a 2L pop bottle ... worked fine. Thanks for the video!
ОтветитьI'm thinking on getting a sm57 but I'm a bit confused on the windscreen part, cause a lot of people recommend the a2ws but I've been watching a few other videos where this a81ws is mentioned. I'm confused
ОтветитьWorked like a charm, thanks a bunch! I don't think I could get the thing on any other way.
ОтветитьGalaxy brain
ОтветитьWhy don´t you use Shure A57 AWS which is made for SM57
ОтветитьEasy and straight to the point, thank you!
ОтветитьDude, that's great! Thanks for the tutorial. Any idea if it would fit an SM48?

ОтветитьHey, nice tip. Pun intended.
ОтветитьAdd an inexpensive cloud-lifter andf you've got a lot of gain to play with, increasing the quality of sound.
ОтветитьI wonder do they have a black version of the wind shield?
ОтветитьI tried this with my wife last night. 😉
ОтветитьGot the Shure A2WS for my SM57 two months ago. Maybe it’s a new iteration of this windscreen but it fit better than the one in this video and came with a plastic collar to secure it with a small screw and not mar the finish on the microphone body.
ОтветитьBought both waiting on the Windscreen today to arrive, will definitely be doing this as I know they're hard to get on...Thanks!
ОтветитьThanks for the installation tip. So easy to install this way.
ОтветитьCan i use this method when she will be too tight? XD
ОтветитьYou Sir, ROCK! Thank you!
ОтветитьLiked and subscribed
ОтветитьDid you remove that inner mesh stuff?
ОтветитьVery clever and simple idea and it worked like a charm!
ОтветитьBrilliant
ОтветитьThanks for this
ОтветитьCool!
ОтветитьIt’s just for looks so real what’s the point
ОтветитьTried this with a piece of paper. Tought it'd work. Nope, too much friction. Found myself a thin piece of plastic, like the one in your video. Worked like a charm. Thanks! :)
Ответитьgracias. I did it. thanks so so much
ОтветитьPretty sure you have also cut the hole wider. Mine came in today and it's way smaller than the hole you already have. Yeah i can see the cut marks when you shone the light on it. Why not just be upfront and mention that also? I don't understand.
ОтветитьYeah, don't do this, folks. This windscreen is actually built for this mic; look at ANY presidential podium. It takes a bit of doing, but you can get the SM57 in there; just be patient.
ОтветитьThank u so much for this
ОтветитьYou made a shure horn
Ответитьthis whole video needs a 'that's what she said' warning.
