To cover that ugly panel have you thought about a long mirror or some sort of wall hanging?

2 things that would make a huge difference- stack the shoe rack and out it back beside the door. You're not likely to use it is it's over in the corner. And out some feet on the kallax unit to get it off the floor. It will look more like real furniture that way. I have the same unit and use it as a bookshelf and out feet in it. Made a HUGE difference

Tina, I have an area in my apartment that looks really similar to this (so I completely understand you haha). You are extremely talented and love your channel. Because you've been doing so many projects lately, I was wondering, what you do with all your finished projects? Have you ever thought of opening a shop to sell your projects? I think if you did, people (including myself) would be interested in buying them. Also it would help you declutter more as well.
