#FollowYourPassion - A web series by Ivy Aspire - The perspective of a young filmmaker and director

Ivy Aspire (www.ivyaspire.com) has created a platform in the form of a web-series that will help students not only identify their dream career but also help them add a plan to make that dream a reality. Curated by Ivy League graduates, Shaista & Keshav Baljee, #FollowYourPassions brings the leading individuals together from across various industries.

Mark Twain famously said 'Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life.' with that in mind, #FollowYourPassion seeks to uncover their route to success, so the next generation of students have a blueprint for once they finish their studies and begin their careers. The series aims to inspire confidence in students to follow their true passion, whilst making the obstacles, challenges, and risks very clear, as well as the ways that these hurdles were overcome.

Often, we find that students tend to feel compelled to follow traditional career paths. his seems to be the safest option, both financially as well as for their career as a whole. A very large hurdle in following an unconventional career path is the lack of information on how to do it, people to provide guidance, and benchmarks to be able to measure your progress or success.
These obstacles have made several students in the past turn away from trying to follow their dreams, and pick a safer alternative at the cost of personal satisfaction.

Through this series, we uncover what were the important decisions made on the way, what were the risks, and looking retrospectively would there be anything that they would do differently. With this knowledge, Ivy Aspire is providing students with a blueprint to Follow their Passion.

Across the series Ivy Aspire explores how a qualified chartered accountant has chosen to pursue a career in music, the highs and lows of starting and running an NGO that's close to one's heart, the fast-paced life of working in the media industry, and much more.
