Sure, that is just what I as able to find. You can use something else similar to it.
ОтветитьI recommend PVA glue, which is sometimes hard to find in major craft stores. You can find it for sale online through various sellers though. Just search it :)
ОтветитьI got mine from an art store, Utrecht. You can also find them at sewing/fabric stores.
ОтветитьHuh? Utrecht is the name of a bigger city in Holland, quite near where I live...
Ответитьi dont have a cutting mat, can you make a video of substitute of cutting mat?
ОтветитьYep, if you go to my channel page, in the 'Basic Bookbinding Supplies, Substitutes & Tips' playlist — you can find a video called 'Basic Bookbinding: Bone Folder Substitutes'. That should help you with other options :)
ОтветитьHmm, the only thing I cant think of is possibly a piece of thick wood you don't mind cutting up. Or any type of kitchen cutting board.
ОтветитьOwww! okayy thankss! i should've think of chopping board instead! Thank you
ОтветитьWhere do u get a x-acto blade ,and utility blade
ОтветитьWhere can I buy these stuff?
ОтветитьWhat tool are you trying to find?
ОтветитьAlmost any craft store will have x-acto or utility blades. Or find them at office supply stores, hardware store or sometimes Target/Walmart. Hope that helps!
ОтветитьWhere can i buy a bonefolder?
ОтветитьYou can find them in art/craft stores, and for sale online. I also have a video about substitutes, which you can find on my channel with the thumbnail of a bone folder, in the "Basic Bookbinding Supplies, Substitutes & Tips" playlist. Hope that helps!
ОтветитьYou may have to shop at various stores, or you can find everything for sale online :)
ОтветитьAre x-acto blade and utility blade the same ? Why some of the people use x-acto blade often?
Ответитьyou are such a pro! thank you so much for all your tutorials :)
Ответитьmy school calls c-clamps g-clamps
ОтветитьYou are phenomenal. Organized, thorough, informative. SO resourceful. So indispensable. :)
ОтветитьYou are an inspiration to me and many more people.
ОтветитьHow big is your cutting mat??
ОтветитьHi, to glue bigger surfaces you can also use a small paint roller (one with a smooth surface, not the furry ones). Start rolling outward from the middle of the surface. Hold the paper with the top of a finger in place. It requires a bit of practise but you can roll very thin layers of glue so the paper won't absorb too much moisture.
ОтветитьHi! When are we to use the x-acto blade, and utility blade?
ОтветитьWhen do you use light weight thread? Thank you for excellent tutorials.
Ответить***** I cant find you'r cool ruler. Can you give a link?
ОтветитьOK, 2 videos in and you have a new subbie. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to what else you have to teach us.
ОтветитьI got Books by Hand PVA white glue for book binding and find it sticky even after its dried. Is this normal or does it just need more dying time (I'm in a humid climate)? Which glue do you use?
ОтветитьYou don't sound like shy Ronnie! 😂😂😂
Ответитьwhere can I find the cutting boards you use in this video?

Ответитьrip i wish you linked all of your supplies
ОтветитьI came looking for the best type of string to use, and it's not in the supply list. ): Does anyone know? I've seen thin yarn, cordage, artificial sinew, and even thick waxed string, but I'm uncertain which is best. I made my 1st small journal with old, waxy purse and shoe repair string that works great, except that the binding is much thicker than the pages, and I was hoping it would lie flatter. Unless I get some direction on the type of string to use, I'll use that string in a single strand, instead of doubled and tied at the end.
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьOMG I just realized what music software you're using! That background guitar 40 seconds in gave it away, I've used it myself on Soundation.
ОтветитьThis is really helpful but what about needle and thread?
ОтветитьThank you very much for this overview! <3
ОтветитьThanks (ɔ◔‿◔)ɔ♥
ОтветитьHi... what type of cloth material is used to bind note books cover? Not to make cloth case.🤗
ОтветитьSangat menarik...
ОтветитьI have everything else but where do I find a pencil?
ОтветитьHello, do you have any videos that shows the materials which we can use for book binding, e.g. for settings, gluings or the kinds if cloth which we can use for making covers of our book? Thank you, I'm inspired of making tiny books because of your videos!
ОтветитьAnyone else hear the History of Rome intro music playing throughout the video?
