I appreciated the focus on Jonah’s disobedience, but I’m not sure I agree with the idea that he was “not a good guy” just because he was asleep during the storm. To me, that moment seems more like emotional or spiritual exhaustion than a moral failure.
Jonah definitely faced struggles; he ran from God, became angry about Nineveh’s repentance, and didn’t fully grasp God’s mercy. However, God still used him to bring an entire city to repentance. This speaks volumes about God’s grace.
It reminds me that even when we are reluctant or flawed, like Jonah, God still pursues us and can use us for His purpose. His patience with Jonah reveals His character just as much as His mercy toward Nineveh.
Thank you for the message; it truly encouraged me to reflect more deeply on how we perceive the people God uses in Scripture.
Doesn't matter what one wears as long as they are preaching to our lord!
ОтветитьGood teachings, I'm from South Africa
ОтветитьAll, please Copy n Paste
1 Cor 15:1-4. Get saved before it’s TOO LATE. It’s not what you DO, what He DID. REPENT n Trust in the BLOOD.🩸
You are a good teacher and I appreciate you. Very much. I wanted to say, that the King James Bible is also unique because if you can remember even part of a verse, you can search it on the internet and the whole verse is revealed. It is because of the unique wording of the KJV, The true Bible. God knew it would be this way 😊
ОтветитьFish and whales look the same from the inside so Jonah though that whale was a fish. No controversy.
ОтветитьThank you so much for this study!! It was truly a blessing! I can't wait to show and discuss with my 15 y/o grandson some things on Jonah.
ОтветитьThank you..😇

ОтветитьGreat job with this sermon. Most people admit the ending of Jonah is very odd and abrupt however your thoughts on this book are very intersting and makes sense.
ОтветитьHi
I Love you brother Breaker but advise you to preach edifying scripture rather than theory and speculation .
Bc there is no debate in the truth.
None may go to hell ... for the barrier is God almighties will .
Three definitions of hell are given scripturely . And the hell being the lake of fire is impenetrable.
God can not lie ...
The rapture can happen any moment now!
ОтветитьThank you brother Breaker. I'm loving your teachings. God bless you.
ОтветитьStrange coincidence (48) verses in Jonah and the Eclipse on (4-8) April 8th 2024, was the theme of the 'Sign of Jonah'. The Great American Eclipse had 2 Total Solar Eclipse and one Annular partial spanning time from 2017 to 2024 (7 years apart) and the conjunction points formed the Hebrew letter 'Alef' over the USA. In book of Jonah 4:8 it mentions the SUN 🌞 TWICE in this verse. And in Exodus(4:8) it says "if they do not believe the first sign they surely will believe the latter". Another strange "coincidence" is that (40 days) later was 'Pentecost' AND not only that, but the President of Iran who helped finance the Oct 7th attack on Israel died in helicopter crash exactly 40 days after 4-8 eclipse. Maybe he should have taken the lesson from Nineveh and repented?
ОтветитьAnother parallel to Jesus when he slept through storm.
ОтветитьThe Book of Jonah is a narrative found in the Old Testament of the Bible. It tells the story of Jonah, a prophet who is called by God to go to the city of Nineveh and preach against its wickedness. Instead of obeying, Jonah tries to flee from God's presence by boarding a ship heading to Tarshish. A great storm arises, and Jonah is thrown overboard by the sailors to calm the sea. He is then swallowed by a large fish, often referred to as a whale, where he spends three days and three nights.
While in the belly of the fish, Jonah prays to God, expressing his distress and acknowledging God's power. He describes his experience as being in the depths of Sheol (the realm of the dead). God hears Jonah's prayer and commands the fish to vomit him onto dry land.
Jonah then obeys God's command and goes to Nineveh, where he delivers the message of impending judgment. The people of Nineveh, from the king to the commoners, repent and turn from their evil ways. As a result, God shows mercy and spares the city from destruction.
Despite this success, Jonah becomes angry and despondent because he wanted to see Nineveh punished. God uses a plant and a worm to teach Jonah a lesson about compassion and mercy, showing that He cares for all His creations.
The key themes of the Book of Jonah include:
- **Obedience to God's Call**: Jonah's initial disobedience and subsequent compliance highlight the importance of following God's commands.
- **Repentance and Mercy**: The repentance of Nineveh and God's willingness to forgive demonstrate His mercy and compassion.
- **God's Sovereignty**: The story emphasizes God's control over nature and His ability to use even reluctant prophets to accomplish His will.
- **Universal Love**: God's concern for the people of Nineveh shows His love for all humanity, not just the Israelites.
In the end, Jonah's mission is accomplished as the people of Nineveh repent and are spared, illustrating the power of God's message and the importance of His mercy.
Lol comedy youd laugh at me telling you that you're deceived 😂😂 BUT YOU REALLY ARE DECEIVED 😂😂
ОтветитьThe eclipse in Nineveh was in 763 BC --> so the book of Jonah was written around 760 BC. Blessings
ОтветитьThank you for this broadcast Amen.... Your preaching and broadcasts helps so many..... Spanish and English.... thank you Amen
ОтветитьSo what is the sign of Jonah spoken of by Jesus?
ОтветитьI know they are busy bodies. They should just preach and share the Gospel. Amen.
ОтветитьThe Hebrew word for whale is liv•ya•tan
Leviathan?
Wouldn't Jonah have died for the fisherman who threw him overboard? (Type of Christ) And if Jonah had not rebelled the fisherman would not have believed in GOD? Am I thinking about this wrong or does that make sense ??? 😇
ОтветитьHappy New Year Robert! I wish I could put my excitement into words because I just watched your vid from 8 years ago called September 23, 2017.. I’d love to share some alignments with you! God bless!
ОтветитьGod bless you Mr. Breaker❤
ОтветитьReally enjoyed this Robert! Thanks.
ОтветитьJonah condemed himself just like the Jews did when they denied Jesus. The same is today with people that do the same.
ОтветитьWine had to be fermented otherwise it would spoil no refrigeration right…. I had a vineyard and know how to make wine it’s impossible to pick grapes all year and make grape juice it’s fermented to a certain point or it’s poison and will get you sick. Robert you need to know about the whole system of wine making before you make a statement also marry Jesus mother asked Jesus to make more wine and it was better than the original amount grape juice is always the same the way wine is made totally a art, chemistry, rain, soil, how many minerals, showing itself only when fermented
ОтветитьFOR THOSE WHO BELIEVE GOD WILL ONLY SAVE ABOUT 5 TO 10% OF ALL PEOPLE. I FEEL SORRY FOR ALL OF YOU, BECAUSE YOU WILL NEVER KNOW WHEN THIS MONSTER GOD WILL WANT TO GET RID OF YOU. YES ALL WILL BE SAVED. THE LAMB OF GOD THAT TAKETH AWAY THE SIN OF THE WORLD. YES HELL IS THE GRAVE AND THE LAKE OF FIRE IS FOR THE JEWS FOR CORRECTION. I DO NOT SEE HOW ANYONE CAN HAVE PEACE, BELIEVING THE GOD THEY BELIEVE CAN SEND ABOUT 90% TO A FIREY PIT FOR ETERNITY. AND HE KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN BEFORE HE MADE ADAM AND EVE AND SAYS HE IS LOVE
ОтветитьIf you picture Jonah as a black man who is tasked with redeeming hateful, racist, despicable people then it is really put into perspective for you. He had a grudge and his hate ultimately almost destroyed him.
ОтветитьAmen, my new years resolution is to stop being a busy body so much.
ОтветитьThis was really good! I admit it's been a long time since I've heard or read Jonah and this definitely clarified alot for me.
ОтветитьGod bless brother thank you for this sermon I needed it .
ОтветитьU do good teachings about the bible
ОтветитьThere is a man in Australia a couple of years ago, swallowed by a whale. Google it.
ОтветитьA three day journey in one day because two days has already past....after two days ( 2000 year's) then "on the third day"
ОтветитьRemember, Jonah states that he is a Hebrew (Abraham/faith) not Jewish (religious)
Ответить💚
ОтветитьMELANIA....AI NAL EM. Ai nail em!
ОтветитьSwallowed by a whale?
(Truth)
Jeremiah's girdle....hide it in a hole ( a void) in a rock "by" Euphrates.....after awhile it became soiled and misshapen and good for no thing.
Just like Ron Wyatts Ark.
If Jonah was saved, why did you go to hell?
ОтветитьThe ship?....the USS CONSTITUTION?
Remember, Paul said, "Don't leave the ship".
One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
"We The People"!.....the sands of the sea
Jonah sounds like a Calvinist, lacking compassion and grace for the unsaved.
ОтветитьSo when we look at Dagan, he is considered the god of Nineveh (this is where the Philistines are from in the Bible)
“Jonah began by going a day’s journey into the city, proclaiming, “Forty more days and Nineveh will be overthrown.” The Ninevites believed God. A fast was proclaimed, and all of them, from the greatest to the least, put on sackcloth.” Jonah 3:4-5 NIV
When the pagans of Nineveh saw Jonah being spit up by the whale, they probably believed he was God, and Jonah said, “no, there is only one God” and the people believed because of what it says here:
“When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not bring on them the destruction he had threatened.”
Jonah 3:10 NIV
Crazy how there is a lot more to the Bible than when we just read the passages!
