the introduction of the sine node could potentially be very confusing for beginner developers

My constant3Vector node has White and RGB node links and doesn't work when I connect the white link to the Base Color link. Anyone know why it's different? I'm using 5.1

Stopped understanding at the blending portion. Im extremely new to design. Why would you want to do all of this from a color stand point if you can just get the color code and call it a day? Why create custom textures if they are already created? a lot of this makes no sense, lol. What would help is if you gave more of an example or use case of why you want to use a blend or something else and why blending it is relevant .
