Agree 100%. I'm 71 and exercise every day and I feel the same as I did when I was 30 years old. Get up and move. Love you guys.
ОтветитьTen minutes isn't much.
ОтветитьI think exercise impacts quality of life, in the later years, more than extending it.
Ответить👍
ОтветитьYou guys are great! Thanks for making everything you address understandable.😊
ОтветитьSquats-push ups-planks do this circuit either for time (30 sec on 15 seconds off) or reps (10 reps each/30 second for the plank) and repeat. Build up the total time until you reach 30 minutes total. Your strength and cardio will increase surprisingly fast and you can do it almost anywhere.
ОтветитьGood video. I do wish to say that dirty, dishonest elite government MDs recommended the Lockdown stuff. Present company excluded, I've never had less trust in medical experts.
ОтветитьI’m 103 years old and I’m still posting progress pics on instagram.
ОтветитьLove watching your video. Use to watch the doctors on TV but since they are gone I enjoy your video please get one of the morning TV shows add you to their program
ОтветитьI like running from the police. That counts as exercise, right? jk jk
ОтветитьHad bilateral knee replacement 6 years ago and I have kept my fast walking to 5km 7 days per week. It's so liberating healthy and beneficial. Please anyone who can must do some walking. You'll not regret it.
ОтветитьRaw garlic works great. 2 cloves chopped daily. And yes, exercise is an important part of my life. It is something I naturally like doing. But keeping motivated can be tricky. Wearing ballet dancer shiny spandex with a tank top (also spandex type) is the ultimate motivator for me. Because it reinforces me to keep myself thin in order to look good in spandex.
I'm 53
Thank you
ОтветитьI am 71 years old and started walking more 6 years ago as my legs started aching and had trouble walking half a block so now 6years later I have walked just over 11,000 km I started keeping track for fun , I am down 40 lbs and no more aches, I feel sooo much better, I always say that my Happy Endorphins kick in when I walk… I love it!!
ОтветитьTomorrow I’m starting my 10 minutes 😊
ОтветитьAfter suffering a complete quad tendon rupture almost 12 months ago I’m back at my usual activity. I’m 63 and very active and my Surgeon said that it was being active and fit is what gave me full use back with no deficits at all. You speak the truth! Keep moving, it’ll give you a much better quality of life! Thank you Dr’s for all your great info.
ОтветитьHow to live longer? Don't die. Next! 🤣
ОтветитьI chide my boss: "This chair is killing me!". It is, even though it is among the best choices. Indeed it is one of those fancy Herman Miller Aeron chairs that I found used on craigs list. But working from home means I really have to go out of my way to get some exercise, almost making work from home a pointless improvement to my life.
ОтветитьThats easy boys i do more ten 10 minutes traveling from my couch to refrigerator for sandwiches and beers. I could walk slower and brimg the number to 15 saving lives is my goal. Love the program i think your information has increased my lifespan i am 81 i thought i was dead 2 months ago still here.
ОтветитьIm 62 and still working a busy job. I do minimum 5 miles a day normally a few 10 mile days per week and hit local trails on the weekends. Your body was meant to move so keep moving. I’d rather be sore from working out than sore from not moving.
ОтветитьTurkey trot, aka walk this morning. 5k. 75 & 83.
Ответить56 year old powerlifter here. Conditioning is key so I can lift very heavy weights at this age without breaking down.
ОтветитьWHY??? Who the hell wants to live longer? Quality of life is more impportant than Quantity. Doctors just want you to live longer so that they make more MONEY!!!
ОтветитьRespect to the Docs' children who had to live with these dad-jokes as they grew up!
'Yes' to exercise.
'No' to being 71, thanks.
I do a hitt workout 45 minutes a day at a workout studio. 5 days a week at 6am. Saturday morning at 8:30 am workout for 1 hour at the same studio. Several days a week this is bodywork, the rest of the week is with weights, I use heavy weights. Lady’s use lighter weights, same exercises. I am 67 now and I thrive at this now. My family doctor says I am not the average Medicare patient. We both laughed at this comment. My cholesterol has receded. And all other lab work is fine. He acknowledges that this must be the exercises at work. I just like the workouts.
ОтветитьJust another grabby clickbait title, you live as long as you get, man ,woman, child, etc. As professionals, they know this fact, more than most !
ОтветитьThank-you for this video people need to here this. I spend many hours walking and working out after you develop the habit you will want to do it! Think of all the savings in taxes if this and nutrition was prioritized in education!
ОтветитьYou got me at 10 minutes.
ОтветитьAbsolutely! The way to go!
ОтветитьThanks docs your the best. Please keep up the great info. Happy Thanksgiving to you both.
ОтветитьSo good!
Also, a question/suggestion for a future episode. What do you know about psychosomatic disorder? Mine manifests as high blood pressure spikes. Would love to hear what you guys think!
reading JAMA in his P-Jammas - hehehe - u literally killing me - Happy Thanksgiving guys!!!!!
ОтветитьWoman thanhk ok thanhk
ОтветитьGet off the couch, step away from the fridge and go for a walk.
ОтветитьI am 64 and still do long distance backpacking, hiking sometimes over 20 miles per day for weeks on end. I ski, mountain bike and walk my dog a few miles a day twice a day. I also lift weights a few days a week. I just stay active and don’t eat crap. Most of my friends live similar life’s minus the backpacking. That I do with my dog. She loves it.
ОтветитьNo deaths were saved, just delayed 😊. Nevertheless, great info and I agree that motion is lotion.
ОтветитьThey may have delayed these deaths a little bit, not prevented them. Seems like in the art of statistics a person can have more than 1 death. You die once per year and be reborn like a phoenix.
ОтветитьIs 10,000 steps a day enough?
ОтветитьToo bad health insurance in Canada doesn’t make memberships to health clubs part of coverage
ОтветитьAgree 100%. Will soon be 81. Walk about 8000 steps daily. Train with light weights 3 to 4 times weekly and feel like I did in my 60s. I want to wear out, not rust out.
ОтветитьI have to start walking again bc i work from home and am sitting all day and i need to move was going to the gym and riding a stationary bike everyday but i moved too far away from there and had to stop going. I do have a walking path at a park down the street from me will start there. Thanks docs!
ОтветитьI agree! I’m 66– walk every day, do strength training three times a week. Feel like I’m 35! But it’s easy for me, because I genuinely love to exercise. You guys keep telling them!
ОтветитьJumping!! Jumping jacks or jumping rope. My happy place.
ОтветитьYup, 79. Walk my young dog unleashed in the woods about a half mile down and of course back up a hill twice a day. Keeps me in compliments, "You don't look 79", and that's the fun part but not as fun as loving and walking the dog.
Ответитьhow the two of you find time to read is amazing; I've always wanted to swim, afraid to learn. age 66. still, I am able to walk 10 minutes a day. thanks for the encouragement, especially entering the new year.
ОтветитьI don't walk my dog! She walks me!! 😆We're both elderly, so it's a great arrangement!! Thanks, Docs!! Still loving you, both!
Ответить74 yrs old here and I've been doing aerobics and weight training for almost 50 years. I eat the 80/20 method [lets be honest, you have to have a little bit of fun food in life] and I haven't had a vaccine or shot of kind since 1971 when I needed . I have a holistic doctor and take supplements - NO big pharma meds at all. I feel like dancing every day. 😊
ОтветитьThis 55 yr. old is doing pushups while watching you two awesome docs! Happy Thanksgiving
ОтветитьAs an Aging Adult Exercise Specialist, I can attest that there is nothing you can do that is better for your brain, your body, or your health than regular and habitual exercise. Exercise truly is the BEST medicine!
ОтветитьI really like you guys, but you took WAAYYY too long to say "move more, at least 10 minutes per day." I could've used that extra time to be active! lol
Ответить
