Good about Blu-ray is: HD (Up to 1080p, 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray runs in 4K), More Protection with Scratch and Damage, Finger Prints removed, Soft and Smooth Disc, 7.1 Surround Sound and later on Dolby Atmos Audio, Plays it on PlayStation 3 or Later Models, Xbox One and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Only on Xbox One S/X and Xbox Series X, Windows and Mac, Trailer got much better than 90s and before with Movie Trailers, Cases of Blu-ray, No Internet Connection Required, Blu-ray and DVD Disc stacked up with Packages at once, Space Savings, Digital Codes and The name Blu-ray makes scene because of Blue Lasers.

Bad about Blu-ray is: Software Updates, Disc Holders for some Movies and Can't Skip Warnings and Home Entertainment Logos stuff.

Could BLU-RAY discs replace CD discs for audio...Would there be a big difference...in quality. ?

Yes. The 1080p Blu-ray offers better picture quality, sound quality, and immersion than a standard DVD. Not to mention the fact that 1080p Blu-ray discs can take up to 50GB of space compared to just the standard 4.7GB on a standard DVD, which provides much more room for higher quality and a more detailed and accurate video. Overall, the 1080p Blu-ray is the superior option when compared to the standard DVD.

I will keep physical media until I die. Blu-ray DVD, MP4 files on SD cards and HDDs or whatever. I will "dub" to the latest physical medium. I will pay to buy video (or audio) content ONCE, and that's it. I will not subscribe to a "service" to enjoy shit I already own! So, Yay Blu-ray!

Can anyone share his experience with the connection? Can you connect blue ray device as wi-fi to the internet or it's only an Ethernet connection??

Blu-ray has the best high definition sound just a way how it was intended to come out in theaters I am happy with that they changed a lot with the format since VHS days.
Perfect way to watch better movies with sharper high quality sound. The best movie theater experience. Just sit back and relax enjoy the movie.

But they could have just put the films on to flash drive’s with the security that they have on the Blu-ray disk and DVD disk and 4K Blu-ray disk and then there would have been no disk skipping and problems like that 👍🏻

May I ask, so how to actually write the bumps/pits onto the surface of the Disc, what technique is it ? Is it able to rewrite many times ?

I hate that simply owning a bluray disk and a bluray drive in your PC isn't enough, you also need to pay for software to reliably play disks.

At first, I thought Blu-ray was inferior, but when I got Who Framed Roger Rabbit on Blu-ray in 2019, I was introduced into the world of high-definition movies and unlimited extras on a disc with a blue hue on the bottom.

But didn't they try using blue lasers before blue ray? Seems like planned obsolescence to me.
