We are going to Bora Bora and staying at an over water bungalow. Although it is expensive we skipped many vacations during the covid years so we can justify the expense.

We stayed in one of these at Sandals South coast in Jamaica in 2020 and 2021 and loved it!

If you are a loud love maker, forget it...they will send an employee to tell you to tone it down. The employee will most likely see you in the act. We were in a bungalow over a lagoon and my then girl was nuts. You can stay in in Mexico for about 400 to $700 per night, all inclusive....plus you can go to the Maya ruins.

How about bathroom? Where does toilet waste go? And where does the electricity come from in Maldives?

going to french Polynesia this coming December, staying at Hilton Moorea for 4 days then cruise with Paul Gauguin cruises for 7 days. March we will be in Maldives 8 days in 2 all-inclusive resorts.

I kinda want to be bored on vacation

I stayed in one in the Maldives for our 20th wedding anniversary and it was the best vacation of my life. It was absolutely incredible and I dream of returning some day. It is absolutely not true about being stuck in the room. Most islands have all kinds of water sports, organic gardens, boat tours, snorkeling and restaurants/bars.

As for #2: Vacations without children are a BLESSING!
