Good advice up until the end where he's trying to sell his product.
NOTHING is going to help your tattoo heal faster.
Your body heals your tattoo no matter what type of aftercare product you put on it.
Products to avoid are things with petroleum. They'll clog your pores and you'll end up with contact dermatitis (fancy words for a rash).
Use Aquaphor the whole time (which you can get at any pharmacy) OR use a SMALL amount of A&D or Bacitracin (NOT Neosporin!) for 3-4 days, then switch to a non-scented hand lotion until it's completely healed.
The ONLY reason you're putting any sort of product on your tattoo is to minimize the chances of it scabbing (which can sometimes be a thick scab that can go down into the fatty layer of skin underneath where the ink is deposited and take some ink out when it falls off).
I REALLY HATE all of these gimmicky products coming out all the time from people trying to make money off the tattoo industry.

I have a question I got my first tattoo about three weeks ago and I informed my tattoo artist that I was a pool cleaner which meant I worked outside and I was going on vacation soon to a waterpark and he told me no problem. Well, I have breakout, acne around my tattoo area. He also didn’t tell me to cover it up and protect it from the sun. I don’t know what to do.

So what happens when I have a outside job it’s 90+ all day and I wear boots with high socks and just got a leg sleeve nobody can seem to give me a helpful fucking answer

I never had a tottoo flake. I wrap them with plastic wrap, and gently wash the slimy white blood cells off 3x a day, re-applying the wrap after each wash for 5 days. After that you can stop applying the wrap as the white bloos cellls will stop coming to the surface.
Never use ointment as it WILL pull out ur ink.. my older tats still look pretty damn fresh for being over 20 years old.

Odd name... nuclear balm...lol also, the very best tattoo healing process comes from derms like saniderm or tegaderm... my body is covered and my colors still pop after years. Leave original bandage on for 24 hours, after that... remove it and wash with antibacterial soap. Then cover with the derm and leave on for 4-6 days. Then get in the shower with cool water and slowly peel the derm off while applying water. After that, wash again with antibacterial and use lubriderm non scented lotion, 2-4 times daily. If it itches or feels dry... apply lotion. This will heal your ink in about a week.

Actually, man, I saw that you had plant base in that. Well the plants have chemicals in it that will seep into your skin and cause havoc. If you seriously want to take care of your skin with a tattoo the best thing to put on it it’s gonna be animal fat. Sorry to tell you this, but the research is out there animal fat as much healthier for your skin and to repair it, get away from the freaking vegetable and plants being healthy, because they’re not.

Even bigger mistake is when the artist presses the needles in too deep and the ink bleeds out.

I got my tattoo the next 3 days I worked all day in high 80 degree weather clear skies. My tattoos fine though I avoided the sun as much as possible and a little sun doesn’t ruin it. But I moved my arm a lot and it’s on my inner bicep constantly rubbing against my chest
