Dr. Shucman, bless her heart, has a predilection for long drawn out and meandering explanations, perhaps due to her background in the academia. Master Yeshua bin Yousef used parables/stories and also direct talking to get his message effectively across to the masses. ... i.e. when he said all the laws can be summarized as 1) love God and do God's will, aka maintaining proper connection to 'Universal Intent' and 2) love your neighbor as yourself. ... and if I may add one more element it would be love, preserve and honor the Mother Earth the Sentient One, from whom we derive all our material sustenance, .... in the tradition of our People of the First Nations. The concept is described in the East as Sky/Heavenly Realm (天), Earth/nature (地), and person/humans(人). So If I may be given the liberty, can "If I defend myself, I am attacked" rewritten to read "If I defend my ego, I am attacked" ... since ego see itself vulnerable to attack and as being separate from Grace and Spirit Universal/God ... just thought to share my 2 cents based on today's lesson. I had a really deep experience on these last few lessons. I realized that the defense is hiding, or trying to hide, my never true self from God. But at the end of this lesson it says God knows who we really are. And that doesn’t need to be hidden. But I could see how my defense held me back from giving my fear to Holy Spirit. So that’s a call for help because it’s not love. Okay. I see that. And I could see what my fear was. And once that was exposed to me, because Holy Spirit knew, I can experience the release this lesson speaks of. It’s much easier to calm down and meditate into stillness lately. I just wanted to say that because I know you get it. That’s all. So thanks.
