My teacher taught me this tune because it shows how to master inner voicings and how to bring out bass, harmony and melody through the art and craft of fingers, breathing and emotion.
ОтветитьSchitterend.
ОтветитьFirst heard this genius recording 11 years ago and was blown away. Unbelievable! Still no better interpretation of this Brahms piece. No wonder Arthur's talent has become legend.
ОтветитьMusic doesn't get much better than this
ОтветитьI almost passed this video by because of the age of Mr. Jussen. I am delighted I did listen to him play because it is one of the best, if not the best performances I have heard of this piece. I am an old man now and I've always had an opinion that the performer's age is essential to the depth of emotion that Brahms composed. I know have a different opinion. If there are "old souls" in our world, this young man is one. I performed this on my senior recital in college and have listened to many performances over my lifetime. This is in the top 3 if not number 1. I don't know what to say except if you listen and are moved to tears by a performance, you have accomplished greatness in art. I was indeed moved by this, and I look forward to hearing more from him and his talented brother. Thank you for posting!
Ответитьlovely
ОтветитьA beautiful performance
ОтветитьThe hurdle of how to interpret a piece in the way an artist thought and felt generations ago is unimaginably difficult to fathom. But we are so lucky today as to get to hear beautiful music performed by masters of their craft, and it is so worth all the effort.
ОтветитьBravo👏👏👏👏!
Fantastic💐.
Thank you so much Arthur, I really really enjoyed watching you playing. You play like an Angel and look like one too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
ОтветитьBeautiful
ОтветитьHe play with his soul .The best !!
ОтветитьIT IS ESSENTIAL YOU PLAY SOLO. BUT REMEMBER ALL YOU PERFORM FOR AUDIENCE IS DIFFERENT. I DON'T HEAR ANYTHING THERE EXCEPT ALL THE SOUND YOU NEED TO PLAY.
ОтветитьWow, he played this beautifully.
ОтветитьHis wonderful performance is off the charts
ОтветитьEveryone please listen to the version in the Jesse Stone series? A bit faster probably by Jeff Beal who played all the music for the series. My favorite of all.
ОтветитьSuper! I love this piece:)
Ответитьgod I love this piece so much <3
ОтветитьOf all the cool things about this performance, I think the very coolest is his choice of tempo. Next to his performance, all others seem rushed. Arthur really lets you savor!
ОтветитьThis had no mechanical thought, no interpretation attempts, or pretentious intellect.. This is just plain beautiful music that touched my soul and brought me to tears.
Ответить❤❤💯💯💕💕💞💝💖👏👏👏👏👍👍👍
ОтветитьThis is truly a love song to oneself. There are no peers. Thank you.
ОтветитьI haven't heard this wonderful composition played this beautifully in years! Kudos to you young man!
ОтветитьMy Grandmother, an accomplished pianist, used to play this and enthrall us. This performance is the most sublime
ОтветитьThe sound of a breaking heart. Who but Brahms could bring such beauty out of sorrow? And Arthur is sublime.
ОтветитьHe’s very young here but already shows maturity towards the art of interpretation and the expression is within. Brahms you are magnificent.
ОтветитьI really enjoyed the pace he played this piece, slowly enough to appreciate every note!
ОтветитьBellísimo Artur Intermezzo. 🇮🇷💞🙏
ОтветитьGreat pianist
ОтветитьAlmost 600,00 listeners have viewed this remarkable performance by Arthur ....only 15 years of age. A decade has passed, and the prodigious talent continues. Arthur Jussen was born to play music which touches the heart and soul. God bless you. And many thanks.
ОтветитьSo beautiful it made me cry literally.
ОтветитьEL MAR DE LAS TRANQUILIDADES ... J.BRAHMS y interpretado por A.JUSSEN y el gran piano S.S.
ОтветитьMay the force be with you.
Ответитьamazing and wonderful interpretation
ОтветитьListen to Glenn Gould's version, and then this one. It's easy to hear the resemblance. It's as though Gould was his "mentor" when Arthur studied this piece, just as when Gould was very young, Schnabel was his for Beethoven. Therefore, Glenn's teacher took away his Schnabel recordings after a Toronto critic accused Gould of trying to emulate Schnabel. But, in this case it all went well.
ОтветитьWhile I enjoy this interpretation - and there are many wonderful ones - I always come back to the composer and what remarkable gift he has shared with us. Forever a joy.
ОтветитьI love this peace and the way Arthur plays it. Full of surrender!
ОтветитьSplendido
Ответить10 years late ❤
Ответитьkind of piss me off that he doesn't even have to look at the piano to play when i sometimes still wonder where that dam E key has gone while i wasn't watching
ОтветитьBeautiful!
ОтветитьBravo for Arthur Jussen! Indeed very beautiful interpretation of this wonderful Intermezzo. Could not be better played indeed!👍
ОтветитьHe is an angel, not human for sure.
ОтветитьGratulation! Sehr schön und musikalisch gespielt.
ОтветитьWonderful. A magical performance of a very special piece.
ОтветитьSi much beauty, the pianist and the piece ❤️🔥
ОтветитьI get the awkward feeling he's just playing this the way he heard Gould play it. It's not an interpretation from the source. Hence the swooning.
Ответитьcasi diez años despues descubro esta joya de pianista.... perdon por no haberte descubierto antes... sencillamente maravilloso, una dulzura inigualable, sentimiento y pasion puros,,,, felicitaciones querido Arthur
