They even clone the movements, that is why all of the functions are the same. The cloned movements even have interchangeable parts with genuine movements. There are some differences such as the balance wheel, bridge and escape wheel, but for around $1000 you can replace those with genuine parts and have a movement that is virtually indistinguishable from a genuine.

The one element that still allows picking the fakes out is the rehaut. The letters at on the bottom half tend to not match up and they mass produce with limited serial numbers.

I was in Vietnam few years ago and I did buy a cheap not too good Rolex replica of Batman. It fell apart quickly as I did not do a good homework and rushed my purchase. Luckily it was only US$180. Soon it went into the garbage can.
I want now to buy a new and original Rolex Bluesy from an authorized Rolex dealer, a Rolex Submariner Blue Model m126613lb-0002 with OysterSteel and 18K gold.
I have not hit the Lotto but I want to reward myself for many good things I have done in my life. Today this amazingly beautiful classic watch retails in the US for $15,600.00.

F_o_r_u_m_s like RWI and RWG are waaaaaay better than reddit in term of knowledge. And not just about replica, also about gens. By the way, that Clean from trusted dealers is now around 610$ + around 35$ shipping (but with the new and better movement), so 600 is a decent price for the one you've seen.

My takeaway from your video is this: Rolex is big and because their marketing is good, everybody seems to want one (not me!). How does a Rolex owner distinguish him/herself from the fake owners? Having spent thousands of dollars on something every other person in the room has on their wrist is frustrating enough but with all the obviously well made fakes around, there's absolutely no point in owning one of these things.

If the clean bezel color matched your "gen", then you don't have a gen... The bezel color is the absolute #1 tell on the Clean factory pepsi's. It looks like brick red in the sun, which is why I only wear it at night.

As much as Rolexes have gone up in price, I don't blame people for buying these. Some of these watches that are in the $600 range have swiss movements and are extremely close looking as the real ones. I have owned for genuine Rolexes in the past 23 years (non now). And I've had a couple very very good fakes. The only way anyone would tell is if they were a watch dealer and an expert. But, wearing a fake Rolex around just makes me cringe. So I don't do it. I look at brands like Steinhart.

If you had waited till 2 weeks ago, you could get your hands on the latest Clean clone V3, with the ridiculously good DD3285 movement. Bezel colour is slightly off from gen, but overall its amazing to look at. Well worth the 600+ and 3 months of wait time.

Fakes in any area are all about supply and demand (not just watches). If nobody was buying them they wouldn't make them in the first place. Sure, some people may want to buy fakes to impress, but they do give the average joe blow majority a chance to have a piece of bling they normally wouldn't have and in most cases never have the original - like yours truly. It's a personal choice - if you like the look of it and get some use out of it, go for it. As to the "copyright infringement" side of it, I'd like to know the actual cost of production of a real high end watch and what the mark up is on the retail price. Give me the evidence that a high-end is really worth 15k considering the costs of production minus all the advertising hype such as celebrity endorsement and F1 team support and car decals and I'd be happy to shut my trap.

I'm an enthusiast and modder. I can make a superfake of any Rolex for 200usd with Seiko running inside. But WHY would someone do that?! To us, wearing a watch is about about emotions and character.

But, I can understand why the shop owner got mad. He has a product and a price. Even though you consider that price to be too high, it’s still his price. Take it or leave it. No one is forcing you to buy. You kept low balling him and at the end he had enough. I understand him 🤷‍♂️

In Sweden we actually have a word for people who always hassle on the price way too much. We call them “tire kickers” since it’s usually when selling and buying cars they appear 😅

I'd never buy a fake Rolex. Because it still promotes the brand, fake or not.
As much as I'd like to stick it to Rolex because of their bullshit, I am doing my part by not being their customer. And, that's enough.

The bottom line here is, all fakes have garbage movement that will lose time at a faster rate than the authentic movement. It doesn't matter how many Chinese workers attend Rolex watchmaking school(in Switzerland), they still produce a garbage movement and couldn't make an accurate time keeping fake if their lives depended on it. Everybody is different, and everybody has their reasons for a fake, but I would rather be seen with an accurate Casio Mudmaster or G-Shock than a greater Asian fake watch with questionable crown operation that can't keep accurate time.

600 is good for what u have mentioned. I would love to see one of these superfakes beside the real deal. I got a pepsi 2 years ago and sold it the next day. I just couldnt pass up 7k profit.... I wish i had held it for a year as i could have gotten more. I now have a Rootbeer instead.

Why would I buy replica watch? Because I like the watch and want to have it... original cost around 250.000€, so I would never be in position to buy it, so give up? No, buy replica, I don't give a shit for brand, I just like the watch and also it is the best watch you can buy for that money. Clone or not, calibre inside is a lot better than cheap Seiko ones for the same money... so the real question why would you not buy replica watch?

I used to work overseas for the Gov, and I would buy replicas for me and my guys. Having a nice watch is one of many tools you keep in your toolbag because it can get you out of almost any jam. Rolex name is recognized anywhere in the world, but obviously, I didn't want to potentially lose 10s of thousands of dollars. Replicas to the rescue. Personally being a watch guy, I understand the hate towards Replicas, and what they do to the watch world. But this wasn't that. I wasn't trying to feel cool or fool somebody when selling it. It served a purpose. Thats it.

I have bought a couple fakes now. After getting into watches and learning a ton, I feel they truly offer some of the best bang for your buck. Companies legit can't compete with the quality they offer at that price due to costs of running a real watch business. The only concern I had was longevity. But there are tons of user testimonies online that lead me to believe they are built to last for the most part. I've had mine a few years now with no issues. The biggest differences vs the real deal are irrelevant to me. Water resistance, resale value, brand heritage, cosc accuracy, and lume quality are all easily sacrificed for me to enjoy unobtainable pieces that i love the design of. I noticed a trend of horrible bracelet quality and other bad cost cutting from real brands in the same price bracket as the best clones. They never made me feel bad owning either. I bought them to enjoy for myself, and I have no problem telling people they aren't real.

I saw a bunch of fake Rolex in Istanbul and I just did not have it in me to have a fake one. For the same amount of cash, you can buy a real swiss such as Tissot Gentlemen !

No sympathy for Rolex at this point. Good luck to anyone buying a replica.
