The insanity of racing up Mount Washington - With Cole Powelson

In 2021, the race up Mount Washington was held, and Cole Powelson set a new 2-wheel drive record in his Sierra Alpha race car. He is the second fastest person ever to race up Mount Washington just behind Travis Pastrana in the Vermont Sports Car built Airslayer.

The video looks like it is in fast-forward, and the road looks nearly impossibly narrow, but that is all just as the drivers had to face it.

When we spoke with Cole on episode 74 of the Flatirons Syndicate Motorsports Podcast, we had to go back and talk to him about how Mount Washington compared to running up Pikes Peak, and how insane it must have been to be pushing up that road.
