First things first. Ya. We got the HC....But we still need an O line. God forbid....PLEASE fix that. We need a DE...We need to fix these things as well, 4 picks in the first 72. Use them. 3 teams with 11 wins, all lost. This needs to be seen. HC isnt going to keep us away. We need much more....until I see upgrades, this wont impress me. Next seasons schedule is worse then this year. 6 games with teams in our division that won 11...that means so much. Im not excited until I see what happens in September.

Agree with you a championship coach ( years ago ) would have been a great choice. But getting this guy makes me feel good as well. I hope he can bring in the best guys. Most importantly replace Chris Morgan, with a block of wood for all I care… he stunk and still stinks and forever his stench will be on this 2024 team, much more than the previous two. I could be wrong, and will admit if I am, but he made this years team worse coaching the o line. Credit TTNL. When we all saw that snap shot in week whatever against Indy with every O lineman on the ground, all heads should’ve rolled, but no…. Somehow he outlasted Eberflus. Flus was 100x’s the coach Chris was, but he got fired first…. Pathetic…. I hope this is really a change from the obvious but….. this is the Bears

There is no point of getting excited about anything. The team needs many repairs. As a fan we want to see results.

Imagine being a Lions fan today. You're just getting over a painful playoff loss that is not even three days ago, and your star offensive coordinator is hired away by another team. Not just any team either, a division rival. That's gotta sting for them, but great for us. This is the guy that has made mediocre Jared Goff look good, imagine what he could do with Caleb Williams.

We got our guy Kap. I know you wanted McCarthy, but the Bears are rolling the dice on a new McVay/Shanahan/Lafleur type. He's the hottest OCs we've seen since those guys, if not hotter. Every team without an established coach wanted him. Bears finally did something right. George put his money where his mouth is. Big props to him for stepping up.

Ben Johnson is play caller so OC is kinda irrelevant but i'm little bias as an Indiana Hoosiers fan, but how about making Antwaan Randle El as the OC? Current Lions WR coach and he's from Chicago as well

Hard to get excited Kap. Been a Bears fan since Ed Brown in the 50’s. Seen it all. Ownership has been pathetic. One bad decision after another. Proof of pudding is in the eating. I’ll buy in if the Bears win 10-11 games and challenge for the division.

The next failure. I remember the hard on you all had when the Bears traded for Cutler. FINALLY, WE HAVE A QUARTERBACK. Yeah, you got two productive years at best before you wanted to run him out of town, too. A flash in the pan OC of a team that flopped who brings along loser former head coaches as coordinators is your savior. Once again, the only thing more delusional than Bears fans are Bears media.

Being a Packer fan, I am fine with this. Johnson is a glorified play caller. Kap will be sour on Johnson within two years. Bears still have that weak front office and inept ownership. Johnson will need a lot of help. Dennis Allen? Meh, nothing spectacular there. Is Johnson the second coming of Sean McVay? Or another version of Matt Nagy? We shall see.

I know people will say we should have gone for a proven head coach because we need to fix the culture. My counter to that is that winning is the biggest driver of your culture. And winning in today’s nfl starts with the offense. And with the talks of brining in dennis allen and the saints interim head coach, johnson doesn’t need to worry so much about being a head coach. He can focus initially on getting the offense right and as winning starts to come and he gets more comfortable, the head coach aspect of things will come.

He probably would’ve won a Superbowl with the Lions if the their defense played worth a lick.
