#1 FRIGHT NIGHT!!!! You nailed it, my friend !! Great list!!
ОтветитьI would've swapped out Prince of Darkness for They Live. Don't care about The Shining anymore. Saw it twice and never need to see it again.
ОтветитьI would add Friday the 13th on the list.
ОтветитьNight of the Demons and Chopping Mall need to be on the list
ОтветитьWhat about 1987s Monster squad?
ОтветитьOk i'll keep it short channel about old school horror movies its a Sub from me on the spot =)
ОтветитьI’m into Halloween 2….that glide cam scene weaving between houses at the start with pumpkins out just transports me back to being a kid.
ОтветитьGreat list! You just earned a new subscriber. The only one of these movies i haven't seen is The Howling
ОтветитьFrom beyond
ОтветитьMotel hell is dope asf
ОтветитьFuneral home is great 80s film.
ОтветитьMy favorite movie ever, Return Of The Living Dead.. thank you..!
ОтветитьMy personal favorite and maybe it’s not original but my bloody valentine the thing that makes that movie great for me is the way the town or at least the mayor and the sheriff are panicking over harry warden reminds me of Halloween 4 in a way and love the ending also the coal mine setting and that outfit I really think it’s one of the best
ОтветитьThat is amazing list to start out with! Evil Dead would be my number 1.
ОтветитьFantastic choices here's my top 10 original horror movie's from the 80's
1- Nightmare on elm Street
2- Return of the living dead
3- Fright Night
4- The Shining
5- The Thing
6- Lost boys
7- Friday the 13th
8- Monster Squad

The Midnight Hour 1985….not sure if this one ever made it to dvd/blu ray
ОтветитьAn American werewolf in london
The Evil Dead
Scanners
A Nightmare on elm St
The Fog
Hellraiser
My bloody Valentine
The Prowler
RotLD is easily one of my all time favorites. Gun to my head it could even be my absolute favorite film depending on the day.
Part 2 is up there for me too, pretty crazy actually how great it is. It's a whole nother homerun as far as I'm concerned.
And part 3 is kind of its own beast, not as comparable, but still kicks ass!!! Brian Yuzna rules. Big props to him.
I havent seen either of the later sci fi channel sequels since back in the day on sci fi channel lol but they do exist, so maybe there is some appeal as a timecapsule or something.
I'd love a boxset that includes all 5 + bonus features and nice packaging, but I'd be more than happy with a trilogy set, or in the meantime, just Scream Factory releasing RotLD2 4k because I was late to the party and missed out on the slipped blu ray by a mile and I'm still rocking an old DVD that looks totally fine and so I am on no rush to upgrade.... But, I totally would lol.
Man, RotLD2 DOES get respect from a good amount of people, but I think it deserves a whole bunch more respect on it's name lol like universal praise!!!!!
Fun vid, cheers!!!
Great list. My favorites are killer klowns from outer space and the shining. If i had to choose one it would be The Shining.
ОтветитьDidn’t see that #1 coming, jk lol. Great list.
ОтветитьNight of the Comet
Killer Clowns from Outer Space
American Werewolf in London
ОтветитьIs there anyway to get in contact with the person that made you that nightmare on elm street 5 bluray. I know he doesn't sell them, but I'd like to see if there's anyway he could hook me up with one!
ОтветитьStreet Trash
ОтветитьWould have to put the evil dead on this list.and near dark.also hellraiser.but great choices though.
ОтветитьHouse and castle freak
ОтветитьLegit THEE most spot on list I've heard ya make....id switch up the order a bit & sub out something for the Lost Boys, that said....amazing entries every last one of em
Ответить"CREEPSHOW" is my all-time favorite Horror movie. 💀👍
ОтветитьMy top 10 original 80s horror films:
1. Friday the 13th
2. A Nightmare on Elm Street
3. Child’s Play
4. Children of the Corn
5. The Evil Dead
6. An American Werewolf in London
7. Witchboard
8. Night of the Creeps
9. Burial Ground
10. Predator
This list isn’t in any kind of real order other than the order that the films popped into my head.
I agree with you on the original Friday the 13th. People tend to dismiss it as just a “Halloween rip off,” but the truth is that it has enough originality to stand on its own. It’s a horror classic. On Elm Street, the original, I think, will always be the best. None of the sequels, even the great Dream Warriors, matches the original. On Child’s Play, everything about the original is the best, even the ending. I think it was WAY better than CP2, which is the best sequel.
ОтветитьManiac!!!
ОтветитьThe Evil Dead and A Nightmare on Elm Street are definitely my top two.
ОтветитьTop 10 original 80s
1:Santa Sangre
2:la drones de tumbas aka grave robbers
3:brain damage
4:sorority house massacre
5:phenomenon aka creepers
6:silent madness 3D
7:centipede horror
8:city of the living dead
9:encounter of the spooky kind
10:the changeling
1. The Lost Boys (my favorite movie of all time)
2. Predator (I consider it a horror film)
3. The Burning
4. An American Werewolf In London
5. Monster Squad
6. Cannibal Holocaust
7. The Evil Dead
8. Fight Night
9. The Toxic Avenger
10. Poltergeist
I wanted to include The Fly, but since it is a remake, it probably wouldn't count, but I would put it above Cannibal Holocaust.
Agreed. Return of the living dead is my favorite movie of all time . I could watch it 1000 times .
ОтветитьPrince of Darkness. Great choice. The movie is genuinely scary. The cam video images have always terrified me. That ending is amazing.
ОтветитьI love everyone's list. All of these movies are awesome.
ОтветитьGreat list but I would of put They Live in my top 10, I worship that movie. The message of BUY, CONSUME, OBEY was like Carpenter predicting the future.
ОтветитьMaybe it's more thriller/suspense movie than 100% horror movie but The Changeling is definately high up in my top ten list
ОтветитьI feel like Poltergeist would be good for that list - a very 80s movie in many ways. Great picks though. Can't argue w/ Fright Night, F13, NoES & RotLD.
ОтветитьThe best 80s horror films are Halloween II, III, 4, 5 and Children of the Corn
ОтветитьGotta agree with your picks. Love the shining defiantly one of the best of the 80’s followed by of course Friday 13th
ОтветитьHey there! We have a convention this weekend and I'm about to meet Jeffrey Combs! Can't wait! Your list is pretty good! Out of that list my unpopular opinion is I wasn't into Chucky much. I know....sacrilege. I know Chucky is iconic 80s so it should be on that list I just wasn't into it. NOES is my fave horror of all time so there's that.
ОтветитьGreat selection of 80's horror movies The Howling and Reanimator are two essential horror movies but Fright Night and Return of The Living Dead are fantastic also but you can't go wrong with anything on this list looking forward to the 90's video
ОтветитьMy top 10 in no particular order
A Nightmare on Elm Street
Fright Night
An American Werewolf in London
Re-Animator
My Bloody Valentine
Creepshow
Near Dark
The Howling
The Changeling
Friday the 13th
REALLY LIKED THIS VIDEO. YOU DID GREAT AS ALWAYS. THAT'S WHY I SUBSCRIBED TO YOUR CHANNEL.
ОтветитьAh man hard to pin a top 10 but The Evil Dead would be my number 1, American werewolf in London would be on there and I think Fright Night has to absolutely be on the list, I love my bloody valentine and maniac too.
ОтветитьGood picks for your top 10 and I would also say the gate & night of the creeps & critters & c.h.u.d & rawhead redx & slumber party massacre & cheerleader camp & watchers & witchboard & silent night deadly night
ОтветитьA nightmare on elm street 1984 is number one on my list. 😀👍
