So... a fat guy is saying that low-fat foods are bad for people? Even if we did eat fat for thousands of years, the people who ate fats died before they were even 20 years old.

I love Adam's videos, but this is simply bad.

1) Sugar industry's lobby "capitalism" is not much successful, because people think sugar is unhealthy. It's considered by a regular person the same way unhealthy as fat or even worse, so it's really weird trying to argue against "sugar is healthy" rhetorics. Such a rhetorics simply doesn't exist.

2) The video makes some impression that fat is OK no matter what kind of fat and what amount, which is simply not that black and white.

3) Feels like regular keto-diet rhetorics. I am not against keto-diet, but some of the point of keto-people are borderline pseudoscience, so I take everything they say with a pinch of salt.

It's not really about cutting out macros it's about a caloric deficit, which, by reducing your fat and added sugar intake and increasing protein, will help you lose fat

Low fat does make you lose fat becuase 1 gram of fat = 9 calories but 1 gram of carbs and protein = 4 calories

Sugar is a legal drug that has killed more people then any other drug on Earth.

Murican medical science literally cannot find a domestic control group of people free from sugar consumption.

Hearing all this makes it look like some things in real life in a way is exactly the same as high school life. And one of them is that humanity would rather believe, adore, and admire those with too much charisma and very little proper understanding of everything while do the exact opposite to those with high intelligence and a lot of proper understanding of everything.

I lost over 40 pounds so far taking Adams advice.

Will see how much more I lose by listening to this.

I know how to gain weight if I ever need though.

Edit: Lost 55 pounds from apex. I love my body more than ever. This video is scary accurate, and it’s so insane that weight gain and weight loss is as simple as a single ingredient, but alas.

But when it comes to such lousy weight loss products like vlcd formula, how are they legal? I have tried vlcd formula shakes for years and I have failed to keep the weight off and every time I have blamed myself for it. Until I asked my dietician and he told me that unless someone is planning to live of that vlcd formula gruel for the rest of their lives they will gain weight again when they start eating solid foods. But does that mean that the companies that are making vlcd's have hired lousy scientists or have bribed the cdc to convince everyone that vlcd's work? Especially since you can buy vlcd's in both the supermarket and in the local pharmacy in my country, or does that just mean that a dietary supplement isn't considered as a healthcare product?

Some of this is bs, Ancel Keys didn’t ‘cherry pick’ his data. Furthermore he was a massive proponent of the Mediterranean diet (which contains fat) and his main focus was on saturated fat which has been shown to cause CVD. It’s not a singular macronutrient which makes you overweight/obese, it is excess calories. Have a look at Kevin Hall’s metabolic ward studies, both low carb and low fat diets induced equal weight loss. Pretty poor video!

Low/zero fat = high sugar

Low/zero sugar = high in toxic artificial sweeteners

Best just to stick to unprocessed whole foods whenever possible

While sugar causes over-weight, it doesn’t become fat in human body like it does in mice and pigs; instead body uses sugar and stores all fat if food has lots of sugar, and human bodies are good at gaining energy from sugar.

This is how backward nutrition was in the 80s-90s and remains to this day. Ugh - Snackwells and fat free yogurts haha. Fat/Oils - BAD BAD BAD. Sugars/processed food - no problem. At least most people, including myself, woke up. The "Don't eat fats" BS is the primary cause of today's obesity epidemic.

Fat free is healthy!!! This myth really started a 120 years ago, when they invented cold cereals in order to reduce fat intake. People still cling to this theory. Sad. Just gov mis-guidelines to keep people obese and sick, therefore easily controlled.

Ancel keys was only against fat in the beginning, after learning more he saw that saturated fat specifically increases your risk of heart dissease and unsaturated fat lowers it, he promoted the Mediterranean diet which is actually very high in fat. You're completely strawmanning him and then attacking that position. You're also giving dangerous medical advise to the public.
Wild animals are 4 times lower in fat and have a higher unsaturated fat/saturated fat ratio. You didn't even mention that excessive calories cause weight gain.

In the last year after watching this, I lost 100 lbs. It has helped immensely. Especially because I actually feel like I've eaten something after a fat heavy meal with a largely carb based starter for fiber. I now eat eggs in toast every morning because it turns out to be healthy and is one of my favorite childhood memories.
Well, not healthy to get all of it from fat, but not cutting out fat basically.
