LUL You do remember that whole Death, Grave & War domains so why so surprised by the undead spell options?

Our DM is constantly nerfing clerics (I am playing as one) and buffs fighters. So our fighters have additional attack but clerics can't use DI successfully more than once. So that 20lvl feature in our campaign? Useless. Also in our world diamonds are almost absent so great restoration or revivify is very hard.

I think cleric is a very bad interpretation of this class. It's a way to make it make sense, though, as a cleric is essentially just a controller of life and undeath, and is more or less a half-and-half of necromancer and paladin.

Hades is the Greek god of Death, it makes sense to me. Bring the tomato back to life! PS revivify is a necromancy spell.

I like to think that the necromancy spells that clerics are assigned is much akin to Hayao Miyazaki's Castle In The Sky, where Sheeta is given the spell of destruction(evil spell), by her grandmother. This is because evil spells give power to good ones. Another comparison is in dark souls 3's Sunless Talisman, that, despite being a holy object, scaled with intelligence, which gives strength to dark magic. It's meant as a warning to the knights of the sunless realms about the temptation and danger of succumbing to the dark.

"Pick Cure Wounds" - this is the moment I knew it's the wrong Guide. I am playing 4th level Cleric right now. I have Healing Word (because it's a Bonus Action and 30 feet), Aid (because it doesn't require concentration, acts as a heal and can unmurderify multiple allies at the same time if more than 1 hits 0 HP) and Lesser Restoration. They can use Hit Dice for healing, I don't care. INFLICT HARM. GUIDING BOLT. SPIRITUAL WEAPON. Okay, okay, maybe Bless too, whatever.
