How to get the waypoints for any airport?

I have found out that the FMC woks better for me is to delete all waypoints & STARS after the desired runway. I know this is not the real world method, but it is working for me. If I leave them on, I fly around the airport, and then off to who knows where. I tend to turn on the vnav at about 3,000 ft. For the auto-pilot, I fly to TOD, then turn off auto throutle and control the engines manually. I also use the speedbrakes when needed to get my speed down closer to landing speed. Speaking of landing speed, I have found out that 130 to 140 knots with full flaps is good.

I like it. I typically fly the C 172 with the Garmin 530. I have not flown any commercial aircraft with the FMC but want to for longer flights. I will follow more of your intuitive videos for a full flight plan for depart and arrival. Thanks

Hi Jason, Your videos are more valuable then others and I always recommend to thers. By the way XP12 has an A330-300 and many videos - useless, nobody tell you how to set the FMC
and setting for AP mode. I did some flights but always I had to take control of the plane at last. Hope you can make a good one.

Lnav not working but Vnav Is?

Very good tutorial but i still have 1 problem. When i make my route i always see wierd numbers above the legs (for example: AVVON 3375 NM then HABBS 26.3 NM)does anyone have the same problem and knows how to fix it ?

Question: When you change cameras from your Instruments Panel to outside view and return to your Instrument panel it is in the same position as you left it (at least that is what it looks like to me when I see the video) I have my Joystick button set to (to see the Panel) 3d cockpit, but I have to set up again the way I had it before I went outside of the airplane, How did you set yours up,?

This is the BEST tutorial ever! I watched other tutorials how to use the FMC and they explained it very bad and they didnt even show how to make the takeoff and approach and this one does! Thanks for sharing this tutorial!

Very nice presentation, however, there is a lot to be said about just getting into a plane and flying from A to B and shooting an occasional ILS. Thanks for the effort.

Omg thank you so much for this tutorial! it's so easy to understand, clear, no word whiskers, you help me with every problem that could happen and give a warning of common mistakes. It's honestly the best tutorial video i've ever seen.

I tried to do the FMC flight 1 time first, but I made a mistake and ended up flying the opposite direction from the airport....
Then I rewatched the video and tried again, it worked perfectly!

Here from msfs2020, and it's broken, many of the options you have explained are not working, if I'm in the air and want to modify the flight plan, good luck with that xD

How do you expand, or contract, the MFD range. I find the range to be way too much most of the time. I'd like to be able to zoom in as we approach the destination.

Your X-Plane 11 Garmin Glass Cockpit tutorial is excellent.

I flew airplanes for 20 years without all the FMS garbage....it was easier to plan a flight using just an enroute chart and my paper approach plates! Gotta be a computer programmer just to run the damned thing! I'm more confused about FMS than before after watching this video. Pilots have been reduced to button pushers, real stick and rudder flying skills are becoming a thing of the past...very sad.

Really helpful tutorial. However I seem to additional items and vectors appearing in my flight plan after the arrival runway. As they are at the end I don’t seem to be able to delete them and the aircraft performed some strange manoeuvres when approaching. Any guidance gratefully received.
