It is not the official story, but there is a lot of evidence that the real Kim Il Sung died (I think fighting the Japanese), and the man the Soviets installed as Kim Il Sung was a different person entirely; entirely a Soviet puppet, likely with no combat experience. I actually think this is the likely story.

This is an interesting story (judging by the beginning), but, except for the English speaking area, unusable. The text is spoken so quickly that the translation takes only a few fractions of a second and cannot be followed.
