As an Alliance main, all these years later I still watch this and wish Blizz gave us a Saurfang statue somewhere in Stormwind to honor the hero that ended the fourth war

It’s funny how in Warcraft 1-3 it’s always been horde vs alliance and now noticing them working together can change so much in strength like Arthas, the legion and nzoth. Just shows how strong together they can be so hopefully next expansion DF what will they face next

Watching this again 2 years later for the hell of it, and noticed something I didn't see last time. Was someone trying to attack you after the cinematic while you were sitting in Org? And other players/guards killed him before you even noticed? Did I see that right?

Hey, I just noticed. Besides that last bit before kablew-y, his last line before the start was "Let it be finished." just like his son before charging the Lich King.

I think a fitting end for Sylvanas in "Shadowlands" is to be torn apart by the ghosts of everyone she killed in both Gilneas and Teldrassil, with Saurfang dealing the killing blow.

Technically Mok' Gora restricts armor, magic, and allows only one weapon. So they both cheated.

If this was the ending of BfA instead of that old god nonsense, then maybe BfA could have at least ended on a high note.

A sidenote, because I just noticed it - when Anduin looks down at Saurfang before moving to pick up the body, his eyes are full of tears. He may be a real King now, but this is one death that will haunt him for a while.

Why is everyone so surprised that Sylvanas "cheated"? She has made it VERY clear that none of them, none of their wars, none of their factions, none of their rules...matter. "Beasts howling for honor". That very notion is contemptible to her. She only accepted the challenge to easily kill Saurfang since he handed himself to her on a silver platter. And once she denounced the Horde openly, what rule(s) is she supposed to follow? Why would she care about the challenge? She's been using the Forsaken and the Horde for her own goals since she came back from the dead again. She flew off the handle and denounced the Horde because she got pissed. You see it in her eyes after she says it, that look that says "Oh well, the cat's out of the bag now, no reason to hide it any longer. Why deny it?" She technically didn't "cheat" because she never cared about the rules in the first place. And, let's be honest, even if she hadn't broken the rules, is anyone saying she would have lost, otherwise? She already crushed him in combat without even trying, there was no way Saurfang could win. She could easily have slit his throat when he went down or took his head completely. Her newly gained power she's channeling makes her more than Saurfang could ever hope to stand against. This challenge was over the moment it was made and Saurfang knew that when he issued it. He knew he was a dead orc walking, but he was not there to kill Sylvanas, he was there to save the Horde, and that's exactly what he did. He died, one life, and saved tens of thousands, minimum. And he broke the cycle, united Alliance and Horde, united the Forsaken, and got Sylvanas to show her true intentions. He knew that was worth his single life.
