This video is a revised and visually re-worked version of a previous one that had to be taken down. I took the opportunity to correct some errors that were picked up on by viewers and hopefully this one will be OK. Enjoy!
ОтветитьWhat an amazing video
ОтветитьBattuta could have easily used his persuasive and amiable personality, and combined it with his expansive knowlege base and elite circle of friends, started an empire of his own. It appears that such a goal never occured to him; no, Battuta was a real people person through and through; delighting in life whevered he went, with whomever he encountered. His ability to earn the interest and respect from all he met cannot be measured, and throughout his journey he never initiated or acted out against others with violence or attempted to force indoctrination of his beliefs.
Its amazing that Battuta escaped the long arm of the Black Death and overcame so many illnesses given the the time period he lived in and the places he visited.
Ibn Battuta was fearless and indomitable!
I feel privilged to have been a silent watcher of your valuable production, mesmerized on the sidelines as you adeptly and colorfully shared with us the story of the singularly greatest explorer and ambasaador in human history.
Thank you

ОтветитьGreat vid! Never even heard of this guy til now. Super interesting & informative. Thanks for the posting this.
ОтветитьModern traveler: I travelled around the world
Battuta : I travelled through great empires around the world, becomes a judge and kidnapped many times
Some would find tiresome the liberal universalist virtue signalling and xenopilia, but i think it's an interesting time capsule of a dying ideological framework that will seem quite odd to people in the coming decades
ОтветитьArduous journeys to say the least.
ОтветитьTravelodge of ibn batuta shows inspite of all differences all humans are same as to mortal and spiritual desires
ОтветитьThis truth will hurt west of lieing and in justice.
ОтветитьA truly fascinating documentary with a large amount of effort put into making it. Thank you. The vast distances covered in ibn battuta's travels are absolutely unbelievable!
ОтветитьThanks for this extensive tale about Ibn Battuta, whose travels I had been previously apprised. But your documentary provided a myriad of additional details, which I appreciated. Bravo!
Ответитьyou said the rapid expansion of the Mongol in the eighth century and they were not till the late 12th early 13th century.
ОтветитьA Moor
ОтветитьTHE BOOK WAS NAMED"RIHALA"
ОтветитьSuch a tragic hero - when he went back home he witnesed only destruction and death of everything he loved
ОтветитьExceptional!
ОтветитьMaa Shaa 'Allah..Dr Ensa.
Wonderful work!
Jazak 'Allahu Khair for sharing this amazing history of our area including my lovely Towns of Sukuta and Gunjur.
Ibn Batutah, The Prince of Traveller (NatGeo).
ОтветитьThe start of fascism
ОтветитьThank you for the privilege of enjoying this impressive video! I am glad, that after Julian Assange, yet another Australian is using the power of the Internet for the common good of humanity. To me your generosity resembles the fabulous hospitality of times gone by!
ОтветитьWell done mate.
Ответитьyour intro song sounds like the intro song to The History of the World Podcast. and good job on this vid 👍🏽
ОтветитьIBN BATTUTA,legend, 🌍
ОтветитьIm going to write down don't make, slaves an elite military unit with plenty of room for upward mobility. That won't fly in my kingdom
ОтветитьPeople, especialy royals, treated him so well because they heard about him kicking Grendel butt in Scandinavia and because he was Antonio bandares
ОтветитьWonderful!
ОтветитьAmazing work
ОтветитьThe first traveller cum food vlogger . Great Ibn Batuta ❤
ОтветитьWhat I found most astonishing was the hospitality he received almost everywhere he went, and over such a protracted period of time. It seems like this journey would only have been possible given Islamic traditions, as well as other non-western traditions.
I've done a lot of traveling, but there's no way I can possibly imagine the life he led and the adventures described in this most excellent documentary. The fact that he ran into so many dangers of all types, and survived, is simply amazing. He even escaped the plague!
I have an old pdf from history class that was to describe that person and there importance. guess who it was 💅
ОтветитьOdd...i thought this was about a traveler, not a disposition on the 5 pillars etc etc...
ОтветитьIf maybe he only insulted and belittled European society and culture every other statement rather than 9 out of 10...
ОтветитьLewis and Clark and any astronaut from the Gemini and Apollo missions, I would contend, are famous non-European, non-renaissance travellers
ОтветитьIslam, you join or are murdered or terrorized.
You should really get help for your Whiteaphobia.
If you asked those who lived in Asia I'm sure they could tell you all about Asia explorers and none to few of European ones.
Unfortunately although I’m interested in this story, the Australian sneering at Europe early in this vlog has put me off… I will find other ways to find information on this topic.
Ответить❤ amazing video
ОтветитьExcellent doco well done seems so sureal fantastic story kudos to you from NZ
ОтветитьSeems to me that Battuta was a free loader. Much like you tubers today.
ОтветитьMarco Polo is a fantasy story based on the stories of Ibn Batutta written by 2 brothers from Italy who where fantasy writers, go look it up😮
Ответитьbunch of lies
Ответитьالسلام عليكم
ОтветитьPlease keep your personal comments and opinions on matters separate if you’re making an objective retelling of something. Then people who don’t care about what you think is right or wrong can skip over and just enjoy the history! Other than that, its fantastic work, just finished the book and found this as a great summary. Cheers
ОтветитьEpic name of past travlers were our ancestors
Ответитьit will make a fantastic adventure game , the one under his name isnt fun
ОтветитьThis video keeps making a serious mistake:
It assumes Battuta wrote these stories down, journaling as he went or writing it all up later.
No, ibn Battuta never wrote anything at all.
He ostensibly dictated the story to a scribe, twenty five years later.
This changes what is questionable and why, completely.
He was, at best, doing it from memory decades after it happened.
No, not "riding shotgun"...riding rough shod.
Good grief.
Amazing video - had never heard of this guy. I love your work mate!
