Strings of Resilience: A Puppetry Celebration

🎭 Transport yourself into the captivating world of puppetry, featuring special guests from In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre, Open Eye Theatre, and Monkeybear’s Harmolodic Workshop. Recorded on Feb 22, 2024.

Presenters Steve Ackerman, Sofia Padilla, Oanh Vu, and Chamindika Wanduragala shared their experiences as puppeteers in the Twin Cities and across the world. Together, they shared how puppets are able to share stories of strength, hope, and joy and unite communities.

The University of Minnesota Spotlight Series is a collaborative partnership between the Institute for Advanced Study and Northrop to present lectures, panel discussions, exhibits, and other events around timely topics of interest throughout the academic year. The 2023–2024 series focuses on racial and social justice.
