The problem with alleged "fanbases" is irrational hatred. So the cute chick who seems to offer little more contribution than showing off her tits throws away everything Grogu because....the writers fucked it up in the long run? Rational response to a cute character, no red flags there.

What Disney is doing is trying to make movies with 2nd rate characters like Marvel has done.

Grogu should never have been reunited with Mando. The story is for Mando, Grogu is not needed. Their journey together was done. Should’ve had a show with Luke and his new order

Thanos is still the GOAT of fictional villains! People were out in the streets screaming "Thanos was right!" The MCU didn't just "do a thing", they did THE thing. They left a huge cultural footprint. Thanos is still a reference frame for people.

I remember seeing something a long while back that the reason Edward Norton didn't come back as Hulk is because he wanted more control over the character & kept rewriting the script also he was supposedly difficult to get along with so Edward Norton not coming back was all his fault.

I’ll be honest, I like Filoni and respect him for doing The Clone Wars show, Rebels, and Mando Season 1 & 2. But it was inevitable that he’d have to bend the knee to Disney if he wanted to keep working there. It sucks because if he wasn’t under them, maybe we wouldn’t have witnessed the decline in quality that happened after. But that’s just my opinion.
No new Star Wars projects excite me anymore.

Disney doesn't have any star wars characters.

They can't do anything because all their characters are hated, so they can only mine old ones.

They needed to kick off episode 7, establish where the old crew was, then establish the young new crew and show us there's more potential in a galaxy far far away.

They didn't. They made a crappy remake of new hope, nobody cares about Ray, nobody cares about Poe. People were inteigued by Finn, but Abrams, not Rian, Abrams fucked his character up and made him just a joke.

Nobody cares about the sequel era. That's why Disney is NOT making ANY content that touches force awakens and beyond, it's ALL pre-episode 7. They'll dip in after episode 6, but NOT so far after you'll see anything you know from force awakens.

Their stuff is garbage and does not sell, and they know it, so they've been scrambling to find the nostalgia hit that'll renew interest. But they can't, because they never learned their lesson.

Of fucking course Filoni is self inserting into the movie. I've had enkigh of the dude. He hasn't delivered in over 5 years now.

The third season of the show made no f***ing sense. That whole season and part of Book of Boba Fett was designed to nerf Mando in every way. Turned him from a badass to part of the Scooby Doo gang. Same with Boba in his own show.

So hyped for Glup Shitto in the Gogert movie.

A Mando film along the lines of the Karl Urban Judge Dredd film would be excellent.

I learned a valuable lesson about nostalgia from watching The Legend of Korra. If the best part of the thing I'm watching is the part that references something else I love, then I don't really like the thing I'm watching and should just go rewatch the thing it's referencing. So I stopped watching The Legend of Korra halfway through and went back to rewatch Avatar, the Last Airbender. I don't watch any new Star Wars anymore.

The worst part about Star Trek, Star Wars, and Doctor Who all being driven off the apathy cliff at the same time is that someone somewhere will get the idea that there is "sci-fi fatigue" and we won't get a good sci-fi TV show or movie in decades.

The multiverse had absolutely sucked. It has been so difficult to follow. Between Disney plus, to Jonathan Majors be shit canned and then canceled projects. Just been a disaster.

I cancelled disney + after the 3 rd episode of acolyte! We talked about getting again for andor, but I don't know. But, I do know I have zero interest in paying $20 a ticket for a movie I already know I won't like!

I know this space is for haters, and I agree with most of what Drinker says, but I actually like The Mandalorian. I'm looking forward to this movie. I think there's a tendency to paint with a broad brush these days and just declare everything (especially Disney) as garbage, but I'm capable of thinking critically and judging each piece on its own merits.
