We die in the dark so you can live in a light
ОтветитьI've been trying to get my own SCP added to the foundation.
I call him, Tape Turtle!
This idea came to me in a dream, with the superfast turtle that would run around and tape people up in an orange tape, like a mummy.
"There is no memetics division" is a book inspired by SCP.
It is SO GOOD, I can't recommend it enough
So the statue was anomaly 001 all along!
ОтветитьAlways wondered when you guys would do this
ОтветитьThere is much mediocre stuff in the scp universe ... but also some real gems. OMG are some of the stories well written.
Ответитьimagine that if somehow human civilizations fell tomorrow and 1000 years later, scientist of that time managed to restore data from some server to research the life of our time. And instead of restoring wikipedia or something else, they restore the SCP website instead.
ОтветитьMonstrum you should make a Jersey Devil episode.
Ответитьi remember being 13 or so years old clicking the random button on the scp wiki and coming across my first interactive page. can't remember what it was, but you'd click a link and it'd display a "cognitohazardous" image (really just a fractal). the measure of "security" as compared to the relative openness of the rest of the wiki spooked the hell out of me, really and genuinely. i was convinced i was looking at something i wasn't supposed to and closed the browser, hopefully before the cognitohazard could take effect.
that feeling of a story being able to break through the safety barrier of "this is just a story" is something i've been trying to find again since i realized i was spooked good. so whoever wrote that story, good job!
Yall we did it.
Ответитьmikan's system: secure. contain. protect. da. benevolent. 1917. mama. tachibana.
💗🤣🌟💎😍🤩💖
SCP & Storied are some of the greatest online sources of lore & spooked mythology, along from r/nosleep's creepypasta rabbit holes like SAR stairs in the woods, thank you for covering the phenomenal monstrosities & the shadowy organizations of SCP that stand between us & them. Some of my favorite content is on the SCP Realised, SCP Utilised, & SCP Visualized channels. Two weeks until Halloween Eve, perfect time for a Monstrum marathon, cue the playlist! 👱♀👾👩🔬👻👱♀💀👩🔬👽👱♀🛸👩🔬🤖👱♀👹👩🔬👺👱♀☠👩🔬🧟♀👱♀🧟♂👩🔬🦇👱♀🧛♀👩🔬🧛♂👱♀🕷👩🔬🕸👱♀😈👩🔬👼👱♀🎃👩🔬🦖👱♀🦕👩🔬🐲👱♀🐉👩🔬✍👱♀📚👩🔬🎥👱♀📽👩🔬🍿👱♀🍓👩🔬💋👱♀🔥👩🔬💗
ОтветитьThe problem with this starting on 4chan is half the people who read it thought it was for real 🙄
ОтветитьI would like all these chapters to be in the future seasons of Monstrum.

It would be nice if she reacts to SCP illustrated's videos.
ОтветитьSCP really is great for "horror without jumpscares".
My friends hear that I dislike jumpscares and think I dislike horror. On the contrary, I LOVE horror. Like the video explains, the SCP writing style of "method of containment, brief event descriptions" is perfect for giving the reader enough to get an idea of the entity, and imagine the rest. "Let the audience imagine it" is horror at its best, imo. Thank you PBS for explaining how much there is to love about SCP monsters and stories!
Man, I remember when the SCP Foundation started up on /x/ on 4Chan. Never thought I'd see it on a PBS channel!
ОтветитьWow, what a rabbit hole this takes you down!
ОтветитьI was not familiar with this world though had seen the acronym 'SCP' many times before. Interesting the fictional worlds that can be created by their fan bases.
ОтветитьWe heading out the Foundation with this one!!!🔥🔥-
ОтветитьThe concept of Canon gets jumbled in the SCPverse. There are several (theoretically infinite) canons to SCP, none of which are formalized as the official Canon. Simultaneously, the "multi-versal" aspect of SCP also means, that they are ALL the official Canon. It really is just a matter of preference.
Ответитьwelcome to the fandom. Please try not to look at the info-hazards without proper precautions
ОтветитьI hope you guys also talk about the backrooms in later videos.
ОтветитьNever before did i expect to see SCP in my favorite channel of short documentaries. I'm not complaining though, this is literally the best thing I've seen in so long!! You guys are awesome!!
ОтветитьThis is such a great wrap up of the foundation and its themes. Yall really did your homework on this one.
ОтветитьShould intermittent vengeance arm again his red right hand to plague us?
ОтветитьKeep creating and keep sharing
ОтветитьI’m not sure if I’m allowed to say this but I’d argue that I’m probably one of the biggest fans of SCP out there, literally my entire internet presence is SCP Guy, sure I don’t write on the wiki ( I have tried though, but the sign up process is stupid ) and even though I don’t post videos often, all of the ones I have so far are SCP related, anyway, as the unofficial biggest fan of SCP it’s safe to say, I appreciate the love that you’re giving to my favorite thing the internet has ever created
ОтветитьThat was interesting and not something I had heard about before at all… but, Monstrum, if you happen to be reading these comments: that sound effect you picked for the static between the shots of the Doctor Who weeping angels was…. Really grating and uncomfortable. Would love to not come across it again. Just a note
ОтветитьI've been a reader of the Foundation for... basically ever. I think 2010 was when I first learned about it. I'm happy to see how it's evolved and improved over time.
ОтветитьJersey Devil! 😈
ОтветитьThere's this entire thing with the foundation that it mentions "We let the general public be slowly accustomed to the truth by presenting them as if they were fiction" so who knows? which of them are mere fictions and which of them are out there?
ОтветитьWait...there's a Japanese SCP novel? Why am I just now finding out about this? Has it been translated?
ОтветитьMan as someone who for years though scp was just a game this gets more and more wild! 😂
ОтветитьWell wasn’t expecting this!
ОтветитьControl any one?
ОтветитьDear sound design staff, the sound effects of the typing on the keyboards was so loud that it was distracting
ОтветитьLove your work! Please do El Cucuy or Cuco
ОтветитьI only discovered the SCP last year now I’m all into it everything
ОтветитьDr. Bright is a faithful supporter of PBS.
ОтветитьWhy is SCP-3008 even noteworthy? What that article describes is pretty close to the real thing, especially when there's a sale on...
ОтветитьJeziz christ, why do people use this video format? It’s boring, you sound like “watch mojo,” like you are phoning it in, it’s kinda terrible, it lacks any sense of actual interest, like you are just parroting info. Like you don’t care about what you’re saying. 😢
ОтветитьSounds like Charles Stross's 'The Laundry Files'
ОтветитьS.C.P. is one of the best for crowd-supported web originals that looks beyond the idea of copyright infringement and offers something more: a new way to explore what it means to be creative in a crowd....what it means to be a part of something more.
After all, there are so many canons and universes that take this organization in so many directions. It captures the imagination of those who view it.
The SCP is one of the best positive things the internet has actually produced.
ОтветитьDr. Zarka covering the SCP Foundation was NOT on my 2023 bingo card, but I'm so glad you made this episode! I hope you had a great time looking into the world that is SCP!
