Top 20 NEW Open World Game of 2024

#5. From Hello Games. I pre-ordered NMS, and then refunded it. I repurchased it and it is now my 2nd most played game. I believe if it's not what is promised at release, it will be shortly. NMS has gone from the failed promise, to what was expected, to flat out amazing.

The "questing" part of pretty much any open world videogame these days is an instant turn off for me. Maybe the game industry needs another 10 years to realise how far above FromSoft's current game design is compared to any AAA release. Imagine delivering a narrative without shitty fetch quests, plain copy pasted plots and pointless grinding to "match" the enemies' levels. Just imagine.

The game that doesnt exist on the thumbnail? Ark is doomed a sequal is not coming out in the next 3 years minimum and thats if crooked snail dont go broke again. They have stated it is not coming anytime soon too.

Love your videos, but silly to mention GTA at the beginning and saying we’re probably not going to see it this year, then having 90% of the games that were on the list under a ‘we hope to see it this year’ or ‘in a window of 2024 2025’. Best just not to mention GTA at all.

Exekiller looks great, seems like Fallout with real vehicles, and I can see Alien: Isolation type of motion detector and look-like androids. But the planned release is 2025 and it's not really open world but semi-open hub environment.

My wish for Star Wars Outlaws was that it would be a character customized experience - as the trailers in early development sounded like they were going in that direction. My hope is that if Star Wars Outlaws is successful that they will take the open world story crafting and apply it to a game what does incorporate the ability to create your own character

Played skull and bones. Its absolute TRASH. Terrible loop. Oh and you dont ever get out of your boat doing missions. Need to cut wood? You do it from your boat. Your friends dont even get on the boat with you.
