This song reminds me of the time I was manipulated and gaslighted by a close friend into sexual acts. He made me touch him and made me let him touch me. I felt so horrid about it, I was only about 5 1/2. He was about 5. I was so scared to tell anyone bc I had no idea what happened. This trauma has led to me believing that a guy “rising me up” (grabbing my chin after pointing at the ground saying “what’s that”) and I realized a while ago what happened to me. I still know him, he says he has no memory of it. I’m sorry for anyone who had to go through the same thing.

alex g’s music is amazing, i love his work and its carrying my summer, it feels like a warm hug from someone you’ve known your entire life, its funny how a song can have such an impact on your emotions and feelings, its such a breath of fresh air hearing alex g instead of aggressive rapping about modern day culture , alex g’s music is like an art of its own, i know it sounds like im totally glazing his work but i proudly am, his work is beautiful, its a perfect blend of both somber and acceptance
