Even Boris Johnson, for everything wrong with him, was still good with Larry the cat. It's like they say: Professionals have standards!

That is the thing, when you compare the American democracy against the British version, the American president can spend days practising for a press conference. In the UK, the Prime Minister is still a member of Parliament, and must go there and speak, not only for his party but for the British people and himself. He doesn't know what his rivals are going to say. He has to react, on the spot, and come up with something witty. It's not a job for dumbasses. Tony Blair was amazing at this. He simply had a gift for the glab. He could talk his way out of anything. When his son got arrested by police, and he has to give a speech the following morning, he ad libs with the fact that it's not easy to be a parent, knowing that he's going to score points even though he lost points from his son's own goal.

British Prime Ministers are a different breed for politician. Trump is talking about the size of Arnold Palmer's schlong. And yet he stands to be the most powerful man in history.
