In a world were we see so much complaining and negativity around motherhood, I really want to spread and focus on the bright side of things!
My son is 5 and a half months, motherhood has been really crazy lol. I know what you mean, sometimes I just want 30 mins alone to decompress and not need to worry about who needs me, my cats or baby. I try to fit as much into the margins (I'm an artist) and it's very stressful and I feel so guilty etc. and wonder how people manage a bunch of kids or a career. It looks so unrealistic on social media but idk I didn't grow up around babies, and I'm an only child.
I was pregnant and said I wanted a baby but I was scared about the life change. It's exciting but scary because there's so much you don't know, you're responsible for a life and guess what, there's no one to tell you what to do or how to do it but yourself...
But like, to see the world through the eyes of a child is a beautiful experience. The way my baby looks at the world in such curiosity and awe, like, nothing beats it. I can't wait for the holidays now. I enjoyed them as an Adult but with a baby, it's like I'm experiencing the holidays for the first time again. The way strangers greet my baby, they are SO happy!! Like, my baby is making people happy!! I love to see it; I love bringing joy to others and it's through this baby.
People put off being a parent now, and, I can understand why, but there is never a perfect time to be a parent. Best to put it into God's hands and take the leap, let Him do the rest.
Sorry I can go on forever lol I don't know parents with babies.
