The stupid man blew the bridge up before 30,000 men had a chance to escape! What an idiot!

The napoleonic wars were truly amazing as far as war goes, Waterloo is one of the best movies I’ve ever seen, I’d love to see this battle in a movie, hopefully it’ll be in the new napoleon movie

I wonder what would have happened differently if Napoleon could somehow able to call upon Davout's Corp from Hamburg to relief the northern flank of the battlefield.

Sweden probably had the most capable soldiers at this time in history. They didn't field a lot but those they did were varsity dudes!

We could not have 'The Royals' of Europe, threatened by a corporal, could we now. I think the French loved Napoleon because, their deal with France's former rulers, was poor to say the least. Brilliant video. Peace be unto you.

How strangely history repeats itself... Someone gathers all of Europe and invades Russia. The Russians overthrow the enemy and go to Europe. Along the way, they are joined by former enemies against the main enemy. And all these wars are sponsored by the Anglo-Saxons - these are the main sponsors of all wars.

Now the whole of Europe has gathered with a clown against Russia. They have been provoking the Russians to war since 2014 through artillery shelling of Donetsk and false agreements. The Anglo-Saxons are again sponsors of the war.

But what do they hope for by exposing a clown against Russia instead of Napoleon and Hitler? When the Russians go on the offensive in Ukraine, the Anglo-Saxons will sacrifice the Poles, then the Czechs... And then the Russians will march through Europe, joining new armies?

He rose on the wave of the Revolution. He promulgated a code of law that he instituted in the conquered territories. He organized. He lost some support when he...goddamn it..crowned himself emperor and placed his kin on thrones..but not all support. He out thought and out fought armies of the old regime. He had Europe in the palm if his hand. Tgen he jnvaded Russia and ruined it all. Would subsequent European history have been...better...if hed contented himself with what hed gained and let Russia be? My instinct is th a t his system, if it could have been entrenched..might have spared Europe from a lot of pain in its future. But..that's me. What do you think?

Just visited both the Sprengung Der Brucke Bie Dem Ruckzuge (Blowing Up of the Bridge During Retreat) and the Battle of Nations/Leipzig Memorials in Leipzig today. The main memorial stands of the grounds of what was Probstheide. The “music” in the vault of the Battle of Nations Memorial is haunting. I’ll be putting together a “tourist” info video here on YT in the next few days. You’ll hear the music in it.

Wealth, fame, power. There once was a man who obtained it all.

Napoléon Bonaparte, the Emperor of the French, obtained this and everything else the world had to offer, and his last words at Leipzig before leaving drove countless souls to the wrong side of the river. “You want your victory? You can have it! I left all the remaining gunpowder together in one place. Now you just have to find it!” These words lured men to their only escape route, pursuing dreams greater than they ever dared to imagine. This is the time known as the great Leipzig Bridge Explosion.

One can see the cynical English posturing in refusing the peace agreement from Austria while pushing the coalition for a total war. We have seen this once again in 2022 when Boris Johnson flew to Kiev fast to oppose the pending peace agreement under Turkish supervision and the rest is history with over 400k ukro losses
