The stupid man blew the bridge up before 30,000 men had a chance to escape! What an idiot!
ОтветитьJust to let everyone know Prussians are German.
ОтветитьThe napoleonic wars were truly amazing as far as war goes, Waterloo is one of the best movies I’ve ever seen, I’d love to see this battle in a movie, hopefully it’ll be in the new napoleon movie
ОтветитьNo collision.tje Ruskies took the bront of the attack, the rest semt a few soldiers to try influence negotiation, but wasnt accepted by Alex . This is just another theft of history
ОтветитьI wonder what would have happened differently if Napoleon could somehow able to call upon Davout's Corp from Hamburg to relief the northern flank of the battlefield.
ОтветитьSweden probably had the most capable soldiers at this time in history. They didn't field a lot but those they did were varsity dudes!
ОтветитьTypical Napoleon, always abandoning his armies !
ОтветитьWhere's Marshall putain?
ОтветитьBlucher was like - I can loose 9 battle and loose 90k man... and ten battle i will win, with last 10k man and prussia steel.
Ответитьlove this but can't bloody stand the way you pronounce Corp... "the third choh"
ОтветитьMen of his stature are in… SHORT supply
ОтветитьEverybody think's if the Emperor won the battle of Waterloo, just think what if the Emperor won the battle of Leipzig.
ОтветитьWe could not have 'The Royals' of Europe, threatened by a corporal, could we now. I think the French loved Napoleon because, their deal with France's former rulers, was poor to say the least. Brilliant video. Peace be unto you.
ОтветитьThis video does not come up when you search the word Leipzig.
ОтветитьGlory to the Mother Russia!
ОтветитьHolding the pee became second nature
ОтветитьHow strangely history repeats itself... Someone gathers all of Europe and invades Russia. The Russians overthrow the enemy and go to Europe. Along the way, they are joined by former enemies against the main enemy. And all these wars are sponsored by the Anglo-Saxons - these are the main sponsors of all wars.
Now the whole of Europe has gathered with a clown against Russia. They have been provoking the Russians to war since 2014 through artillery shelling of Donetsk and false agreements. The Anglo-Saxons are again sponsors of the war.
But what do they hope for by exposing a clown against Russia instead of Napoleon and Hitler? When the Russians go on the offensive in Ukraine, the Anglo-Saxons will sacrifice the Poles, then the Czechs... And then the Russians will march through Europe, joining new armies?
"The Battle of Nations Against Tartaria"
ОтветитьHe rose on the wave of the Revolution. He promulgated a code of law that he instituted in the conquered territories. He organized. He lost some support when he...goddamn it..crowned himself emperor and placed his kin on thrones..but not all support. He out thought and out fought armies of the old regime. He had Europe in the palm if his hand. Tgen he jnvaded Russia and ruined it all. Would subsequent European history have been...better...if hed contented himself with what hed gained and let Russia be? My instinct is th a t his system, if it could have been entrenched..might have spared Europe from a lot of pain in its future. But..that's me. What do you think?
ОтветитьI come back to this masterpiece at least once in 6 months. The best historical series on YT. Better than anything on TV and for free. Absolutely amazing.
ОтветитьI wonder what happened to the corporal who blow the bridge
ОтветитьWhich makes you wonder, just how much of a piece of shit was Napoleon?
ОтветитьI don't understand why the Coalition didn't block Napoleon's single escape route west of Leipzig sooner. At least destroy the single bridge. Any thoughts by anyone?
ОтветитьThere is nothing we can do.
ОтветитьSoon Leipzig 1813-2023 reenactment, come and see!
ОтветитьIf there was anyone battle that could've saved Napolean it was this one. I wish I could go back in time with modern weapons to help the Emperor have a few crates of machine guns would've tipped the scales.
ОтветитьThe French soldiers were very good
ОтветитьJust visited both the Sprengung Der Brucke Bie Dem Ruckzuge (Blowing Up of the Bridge During Retreat) and the Battle of Nations/Leipzig Memorials in Leipzig today. The main memorial stands of the grounds of what was Probstheide. The “music” in the vault of the Battle of Nations Memorial is haunting. I’ll be putting together a “tourist” info video here on YT in the next few days. You’ll hear the music in it.
ОтветитьOne does not leave a field of glory as quickly as possible...one leaves hell as quickly as possible!
ОтветитьIs the rockeet artillery technology similar to one the British faced from the troops of Tipu Sultan in their conquest of Kingdom of Mysore in 1790s?
ОтветитьИнтересное и информативное видео, почти без воды
ОтветитьGeneral Leonty Leontyevich, count von Bennigsen, original name Levin August Gottlieb (Theophil) von Bennigsen, was a Russian commander, he was not in charge of army of Poland. Please make necessary correction. Polish soldiers were a part of French forces.
ОтветитьVive l'empereur 🇨🇵🐓
Vive la France,
Of course the man who is always the aggressor would fail to coordinate a retreat properly 😂
Ответитьi have 1 simple question: what was Napoleon's plans with second day of this battle?
why he didn't retreat after his 1 day failed to give him the victory
Considering he is outnumber 2 to 1, he still hold on his own in 4days of battle agaist all odds in order to defeat him..
ОтветитьNapoleon was the bes general I had seen so far.
ОтветитьAt the time ther is no country of Poland, so what are you talking about
Ответитьwhat is it with marshal murat and 10,000 horsemen?
ОтветитьYou should cover the invention of the Metric System from the same period.
That way you can finally use the same system with the rest of the world.
Wealth, fame, power. There once was a man who obtained it all.
Napoléon Bonaparte, the Emperor of the French, obtained this and everything else the world had to offer, and his last words at Leipzig before leaving drove countless souls to the wrong side of the river. “You want your victory? You can have it! I left all the remaining gunpowder together in one place. Now you just have to find it!” These words lured men to their only escape route, pursuing dreams greater than they ever dared to imagine. This is the time known as the great Leipzig Bridge Explosion.
One can see the cynical English posturing in refusing the peace agreement from Austria while pushing the coalition for a total war. We have seen this once again in 2022 when Boris Johnson flew to Kiev fast to oppose the pending peace agreement under Turkish supervision and the rest is history with over 400k ukro losses
ОтветитьBernadotte knew exactly what he was doing... Let the Prussians, Russians Austrians (all potential future rivals after Napoleon falls) do all the heavy fighting and he'll get an easy win and final glory
Ответить👍👍👍👍
Ответитьif wars were name upon you, you know that person was God amongst others.
Ответить"here and there a headless trunk, or a head only".
