Hi, Cleo! I've been a silent subscriber for a while now, but I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your content! So much of the online talk around tech these days is negative to the point that I worry that certain groups will latch onto this to push an anti-science agenda. Thank you for making informative, entertaining content about the positives of tech that also acknowledges the POSSIBLE downsides!
Ответить“You’ve probably seen videos of them opening doors or dancing”
Or pissing beer
The idea of those robots weaponized is indeed pretty daunting.
ОтветитьThat would be ideal for opening pod bay doors....🤔
ОтветитьWelcome to the POLICE STATE !
ОтветитьLooks like this robot dog would be cheaper for NASA to buy and send to space, than wasting money developing thier own... "stuff"
ОтветитьMmm.... No , there is no progress, you know ... )
ОтветитьMy dog makes fudge out of her butt
ОтветитьShe is so sexy her head tilt was cute
ОтветитьHere optimistic, micheal buys it to make it pee beer 😂 love that guy
ОтветитьThis is truly remarkable. I read a book with similar content, and it left a lasting impression. "Game Theory and the Pursuit of Algorithmic Fairness" by Jack Frostwell
ОтветитьA video on WWE would be awesome 😊
ОтветитьDon't weaponize them? These could replace K9 units.
Edit: Granted the scent that dogs can pick up on are incredibly useful, however it would limit the need for training of the dogs.
If the military and police can use robot dogs and so avoid putting real dogs in harms way, I'm all for that.
ОтветитьYou look like a yellow power ranger with a mini Zord
ОтветитьHey good lookin, could you do a vid on AI and gambling ? Game theory
Ответитьthat head tilt... >D <3
ОтветитьI am all for Inspector Spot! Please become everyday item, I even wish for them to become people with high function thoughts. Also not because i bet humanity would just do like they do and abuse them. Sorry future inteligent robot dogs.
Ответитьthis is only good with democracy guiding it. and its only really good with closed network video, which is a thing of the past. the video panopticon is getting bigger and bigger.
ОтветитьYou are just to gorgeous
Ответить"It's up to all of us to decide together" ... hahahaha ! Amazing sense of humour 😂
ОтветитьI don't understand what is the problem with using robots in the military? When you use a robot instead of a human, you protect the life of the soldier that can be killed. And potentilly in the future, if robotic technology gets really well developed, they can perform the missions more effectively, minimizing civilian casualties. Also robots are not susceptible to emotions, meaning they will not be doing some irrational things, like killing a civilian, because of anger. So in the end of the day, using more robots in the military will actually save lifes.
ОтветитьMy mind after putting atlas and spot one next to the other: I wonder if atlas could walk spot
ОтветитьStunning video Cleo!
ОтветитьThey're kind of cool I guess, but these won't be the robots that we see everywhere eventually. China will have a way of doing it 100 times cheaper and more efficiently and we'll end up with another TikTok situation. The Spot videos are just bad marketing ploys and these things are a waste of money right now.
ОтветитьThis vid and tech is super dope. But God Damn, I love that jacket.
ОтветитьAs a dog-person, that was a very nice ending 😊 Spot is so cool!
Ответитьbest friend
ОтветитьAtlas didnot fall in your previous video... btw nice video with lot of info and research
ОтветитьI love it when Cleo has such a “childlike curiosity & energy” on whatever topic she’s talking about; she seems like such a fun & nice person to be friends with, and probably also an amazing conversationalist.
Keep doing your thing Cleo!
Much love from PR 🇵🇷
how about ghost robotics?
ОтветитьEhh, not impressed. Its a couple steps above a remote control car.
ОтветитьGreat video. Also loved you in Black Swan and Pirates of the carribean.
ОтветитьThe next video with a robot dog should be the unitree robots
Ответитьthe only people that will be able to afford this technoilogy are the military. and all this sugar coating fluffyness little doggies doesnt fool me.
ОтветитьAm I the only one who thinks she looks like Natalie Portman
ОтветитьAmazing!! 👏
ОтветитьThe partner-look is cool.
Ответитьcleo, you forgot to do your unusual of saying elon's shitty robot is better
ОтветитьHi Cleo, on your last point, about “normalisation”, I’m 54 and remember the arrival of telephone answering machines. Older people in particular found it difficult to “talk into a machine”. Purely psychological and sounds crazy now but they were very unpopular and some people even made negative remarks about early adopters, somewhat like EV drivers get today. 😮
Ответитьthe problem with these is that the run time only 90 minutes and then charge them for 2 hours.. still not workable
ОтветитьBest friend😅
ОтветитьThis is definitely going to be the used to police refugees and activists
ОтветитьWho was the lady helping with spot?
ОтветитьI, for one, welcome our robot overlords.
Ответитьyeah - Who's footing the bill for the robot dogs? Probably the tax payers paying for something we don't need.
ОтветитьThat's bringing "Man's Best Friend" to a whole new level!
I'm a real one 😉
Put a cheap touch sensor where its 'head' is, then make it do a preset wiggle motion when that part is touched in a certain pattern (such as petting).
Voila! Happy robot doggo attained!
I think actual dogs followed somewhat similar "product development" cycle — just 30000 years ago...
Does this mean we will develop strong bond with robot dogs? Most likely, I think. We're extremely good at it.
