We had an ice storm in Azle, Texas. It's a super small town with amazing kind people. It was a crazy storm and no one left their house for 3 days. The only place that was opened was a family owned Chinese restaurant. I asked their 7 year old daughter who was the cashier and cleaner if they had customers during those three days. She said nope but parents did not want to close the store. She was one of the hardest worker. We had a store next to them and I had never seen her do nothing. She's either studying or taking orders or cleaning the windows. It was nuts. I asked her how much she got paid and she looked at me like I was crazy 😂

Two comments, 1 serious and real, and the other just funny and true:

2) Real world😢 I worked in high tech mfg when USA had that. We had a global project that spent about 15 million dollars before disbanding. I followed the ashes of that cancelled project to Asia(China & Singapore) . My project manager sat me down and told me this analogy. I am not sure why Americans pay 15 million dollars to half bake a potatoes then we only have to cook it half way and eat the shit out it!!! We DONT half baked potatoes and certainly not for 15 million, 40 million, 100 million, why do you guys let projects fail and don't care?

Juste recently when we had all that snow in after New Years. The kids out of school for an extra week, we had cabin fever some awful.
Went out in the damn snow to the Chinese Buffet they were open like nothing happened. Hell they had a banner up saying they were still open.
