Meta probably worked with logitech to make sure it wouldn't be compatible with third-party headstraps lol. They only want you to be able to use it with official Meta headstraps.

Just bought bought this impulsively. Thanks for the tip about the mute feature. The first time I used this device I didn't utilize the USBC on the left headphone. I was sadly still very satisfied with the audio for a half hour playing Budget Cuts Ultimate. I was slightly more impressed after I plugged it in

Does anybody got this to work with the Meta2 headphone jack using an adaptor? I hate this thing so much, worst thing I bought for the meta2 so far, makes the battery run out first all the time by a lot, the spare battery has like 40% and the main one is at 0%, then it makes all this annoying clicking noises when it runs low that freezes what you are doing, on top sometimes it just doesn't work and have to unplug and plug in again, other times the channels swapped left to right channel and same thing have to unplug and plug back in, I pray everyday that this thing breaks so I can buy something else... anyway...maybe with an adaptor to the headphone jack I can get this to work without affecting my batteries...

passthrough charging with 0 issues (unlike the VR P10 earbuds which say that passthrough charging is supported when its not)

My 3.5 mm jack was ruined and no longer works, would this work still? Im just wondering if that would somehow affect the detection of an external audio system

The speakers don’t work and when I unplugged them to do an audio test, the regular speakers that came with the quest worked

Just wanted to comment this worked 100% on a 5 year old rift with right headphone issue that required to keep fiddling with right side of head-strap to get the sound working. One strand from the network cat-5 wire worked great for the task.

Having an Elite Headstrap with Battery I bought this, however on top of the USB issue, where when you turn it on you have to unplug and replug the USB lead in order for the extended battery to be seen, you also have to do this when you turn it off as well as again it fails to see the extended battery unless you do this.

On top of that, the power usage is messed up. Normal use will drain the extended battery first and then the headset, however when using the Chorus I was getting a low power warning for the headset power reaching 25 percent whilst the extended battery was still showing 95% of it's charge available.

As much as I enjoy the quality of the sound, this shouldn't have been released in this state. I had an email saying that I was late in receiving these as they wanted to make sure the firmware was in place. Well they need to go back to the drawing board.

Those only arrived this week for me here in europe, I had high hopes for it, but I think it's not good enough. In my opinion, spend the money on better headphones or IEMs, the electronics used in it are not that great sadly.

While I work in tech that is audio related, main issue I got is distortion of the bass and lack of clarity in the upper range of the frequency. Its tolerable, but I've used the index before too, which sounds much better. I might sell or return the chorus I've got, I am rather disappointed.

**Hey Mike, can you please verify a reviewer's findings on Amazon. They stated that passthrough power would not work while using the headphones. The headphones had to be moved to the muted position before passthrough power worked. Did you observe this?

So aiming at the serious user but nobody’s going to be buying them.. I’ll stick with the Psvr ones I use..shame they look pretty good..

I own a decent wifi 6 router that's located in the same bedroom that I use as my vr playspace and I still notice a little lag and drop in fidelity when playing wirelessly so the lack of data pass-through on this audio accessory is still a letdown. If I were to guess, I wouldn't be surprised if Meta paid them to leave that out to guide more users into buying the inferior Quest versions of the games. Every PCVR gamer that buys their headsets and doesn't buy any of their games costs them a lot of money so I wouldn't doubt it if more Quest accessories and products are geared more and more towards turning their platform into a walled garden.

Watched alot of reviews before i bought my quest 2 a year ago and i am yet to have any problems with my elite strap or the stock audio sound from the quest two. Did not buy it to play PCVR games. SO the chorus is for people like us...the majority. If the place is too noise to play the quest then its probably too dangerous too, lolz.

I prefer my logitech G333 VR intra, with a comply foam it's awesome and we are really isolated from outside sounds.

Since when is the Elite battery strap unreliable? I've had mine since launch and it's been perfect, no even a hint of an issue. I had never heard of unreliability problems until now.

While the criticisms here are fair, I think they're vastly overstated. The overwhelming majority of people are using official Oculus straps, and the overwhelming majority of people are not using a USB cable connected to their PC. Again, I think it's fair to point out the flaws, in particular for this audience that is going to be dramatically more likely to have modified their Quest or use PCVR, but it's hardly going to be more than a very small minority of Quest users that will ever do either of those things.

Blah. Price and only Meta head straps. I had Elite Strap and it showed cracking just after two weeks. I also like to play PCVR games and would need to be able to use data.

If they dont fit the kiwi strap then it's a no go for me. I can live with having to unplug them to use link. But my kiwi strap is too comfy and light. The way the kiwi strap folds up is really usefull too. I was ready to shell out the money for this right away. Why the hell doesn't Kiwi or bobovr already have something like this??
