I have the same vacuum, I also love the portability of it and is my go to vac. Some of the issues after 3+ years of using it on job sites and home are, the hose, once stretched out, does not compress and fit back in the holder. I have attached a hose and the hard extension pieces to it from my other shop vacs for longer reach. I've glued the clips for the 2 attachments back on several times. I also added 3 roller ball wheels to the bottom, so it rolls with you instead of stretching the hose until it finally slides. It is loud, I clean the filter everytime, as it will get louder if it is dirty or something is stuck in the hose. The issue dumping stuff out of it, is a pain at 1st, but least of my complaints, I just have to drop and pull back real quick to get the debris in the air, when pouring the dirt out. All in all still my favorite vac!

FYI: Home Depot is currently (12/28) running the Ryobi "Free Tool" deal where you buy the 2- 3ah battery kit with carrying case and charger for $99, and get to choose 1 free tool from 43 different tools. This deal usually only happens on Ryobi days in the spring. One of the free tools you can choose is a 2 pack of 4ah batteries. This deal gives you 4 batteries total (2-3ah, 2-4ah) a nice tool carry pouch, and a charger, all for $99 !!!!! I split the deal with a friend so I ended up with 2 batteries (1-3ah, 1-4ah) the charger and pouch for fifty bucks!!

I picked one up last month.. $99 plus battery and another charger that I can add to my roybi charger collection.. seems like when you find a deal on a roybi tool you get a battery and a charger!

I really wish they’d make tools like this hybrid. Idk why they are so stingy with which tools are hybrid. If I’m going to be doing a lot of sanding or a lot of cuts on the miter saw I’d prefer to have a vacuum I can plug in. (This is more so for the 6 gallon vacuum that I’d prefer to be hybrid). But oh well. Great video as always guys.

Thanks for the great video. I think I will have to get one of those vacuums. It looks very convenient. The next tool I would like to see before spring is the one+ 22 inch hedge trimmer and compare it to the lighter 18 one + hedge trimmer. I will be in need of one the coming spring and would love your thoughts before I buy!!! Thanks

Hey mate. Can you put a stick attachment on this shop vaccum do you think and use other heads so it's more of a job site vaccum ?

How about testing it with say the circular saw.

I too have all of the Ryobi 18V vacuums, (except the Evercharge dust buster). This is one of my most used, and very favorite Ryobi tools. I love this vacuum.

Still love it......it does a great job and easy to use..... I agree on the tool holders are not too secure. But easy to use on the cars and planes.

Do You think it’s powerful enough to extract water from a car matte or seat? And does it blow enough air to somewhat dry a car after washing?

Ответить

Is there a way to make it synchronize with another power tool?
So it will run by itself if the planer is working for example

Too big, I want a smaller ~ 1 gallon canister similar size to the one Ryobi made back when they were blue plastic, but modernized with a brushless motor. Does it have an exhaust port that you can attach the hose to, to convert it into a low pressure inflator?

Good review, I am interested to see how this one stacks up against their new 4.75 gallon wet/dry vac

I don't really agree with a lot of the talk about making machines like this hybrid. I mean... If cordless freedom is bothersome? Why get a battery powered tool? I think it's great... And it helps keep the batteries conditioned which is what's best for them. Use them or lose them. It's one of the reasons I just ordered this vac. For when my tools are idle. This will keep the batts conditioned! I'm excited for this little guy.

You forgot to mention that using the larger tool you can transform the vacuum to a blower, then just connect the hose to it. Filter is washable.

Great video keep them coming! Say, I have a tractor with the same engine. The engine manual has the following step in it for an oil change. I assume they include it because the oil pumps are a low flow:

Place the new replacement filter in a shallow pan
with the open end up. Pour new oil of the proper
type, in through the threaded center hole. Stop
pouring when the oil reaches the bottom of the
threads. Allow a minute or two for the oil to be
absorbed by the filter material.

What Ryobi vacuums do you like and which one you suggest mostly would work for vacuuming the car out and what's the run time on the nine amp battery

I got the same shop vac as this. It seemed to work good the first few times I used it. Then it started making a higher sounding engine noise and has about half of the suction force of when I originally bought it. Truthfully I kept excellent care of it too. I never vacuumed up anything crazy like liquids, etc. You can tell I have taken care of it. Hopefully Ryobi will honor their warranty...,

I know this is old, but, depending on it's suction power, you don't want longer hoses just for air impedance sake.
