ОтветитьLet me recommend you a game of the visual novel genre. "The letter". It is a drama and horror visual novel. Is very good; It has a great soundtrack suitable for the game and an entertaining story with various endings (good, bad and neutral). I hope you read this message and give "The letter" a taste.
ОтветитьI can't believe he didn't pick "Radical Dreamers" as his favorite visual novel game. :P

very humble non fake list thanks for not making a fake list like most popular game tubers
ОтветитьClub Tower btw. Said it more than 3 time. You really know your gamez.
ОтветитьWhat is it about fps games you don't like? Also would plague tale not fall in the stealth genre rather than action adventure?
ОтветитьYou should really check out bioshock if you don’t like 1st person shooters
ОтветитьLooki to forward to that tmnt game coming later this year. Nostalgia is a powerful drug! Let's gooooo!
Ответитьlmao re-imagining of the book dante's inferno
ОтветитьThanks for this video! I actually have A Plague Tale installed, but haven't started it yet! I'll give it a try today!
ОтветитьI randomly got the idea to search for this kind of video and I was surprised that barely anybody is making a "favorite game of each genre" list.
ОтветитьGreat selection. I usually play two games at a time, one RPG and one of another genre. Right now I'm playing Octopath Traveler, but I'm actually really addicted to Dragon Ball FighterZ >_>
Ответитьyou missed the point and click, rail shooter, stealth, open world, rythm, management, survival, battle Royal, simulator, mmmh i don't know tim, i think we are gonna need another video :P
Ответитьfor the visual novel kind of game, i'm not a fan of the genres either but What remains of edin finch is a fantastic story!!!
Apparently, heavy rain is awesome too, but one of the first scene caught me off guard and i just couldn't go back to it!
Fun video idea!
Ответитьso simular
ОтветитьGreat video man ,keep with good stuff!
ОтветитьWe have a very similar taste for games! :D
ОтветитьAlice Madness Returns is such a sleeper hit
ОтветитьHave you played any walking simulators at all?. Of the games you mentioned I've only played was Dantes Inferno, I beat the game and i was intrigued by the story. I have the book but i've yet to read it.
ОтветитьThis was fun to watch, I like your taste!
ОтветитьI love watching your videos! One of the best visual novels I have encountered is Steins Gate, I played it on my vita I know it's available on PC and others too. As much as you love Chrono Cross I think you will really enjoy it. Thank you!
Ответитьvisual novel : house in fata morgana
ОтветитьYou instantly know Erick isn't a PC gamer since there are no realtime or turn-based strategies or city builders in here.
ОтветитьI can recommend The House in Fata Morgana if you want to try VN, it has a very good story, note that the game is super long and sadly it has no VO.
Ответитьomg yesss!! Utawarerumono getting some love my fav game series/anime
ОтветитьI can understand the lack of FPS, RTS, TBS, but not even mention western RPGs? Where does this rejection come from?
ОтветитьRoguelikes, music/rhythm, those extreme sports games (like Tony hawk pro skater or SSX tricky), mobas, simulation games, and sandbox games might be some other genres that you left out (or don't have any interest in)
ОтветитьMetal Slug X is really a special game
ОтветитьOMG, talk about strange tastes..
.. but still approve UDG. Love it too. It is crappy as a shooter, but the story and design are really great.
I guess we all have at least one game we gladly play in that particular genre that we mostly do not like or even care about.
For me sports games are a waste of time except for one: The japanese version of what is known as Nintendo World cup. Crazy zanny teams, powers, locales and hilarious multiplayer action.
I also find RTS games extremely boring (unlike Erick) except for one: Herzon Zwei on the Genesis and maybe because you can somewhat participate in the carnage instead of just watching or selecting commands.
FPS are also somewhat meh to me but DOOM seems to always hit the mark with me, be it on a 386 (Yeah, I'm a grampa, sue me) or on the PS4.
The only "genre" that is completely not my cup of tea are online multiplayer games of any kind. I liked the interactions of the old LAN parties because it was literally a real social gathering complete with snacks, nerding out with MTG, Pokémon or YuGiOh between matches and LOAO hysterically such as the first time we played N64 Smash Bros and three of us ate a fully charged Frying Pan smash by the one playing Peach or did miserably at Toad's Turnpike in Mario Kart 64.
I could never really get into platformers, 2D or 3D. I liked some of the Megaman games, though.
Never was into stealth-based games or beat-em-ups either. Or really most of the genres you mentioned. I don't play fighting games, puzzle games, racing games, party games, survival horror, hack and slash (though there are some I might be interested in trying), run and gun, sports games or visual novels...
I haven't played nearly as many RPGs as you but my favorite is probably Live A Live.
Shoot-em-ups - Tyrian, 'nuff said. Replayed it dozens of times, probably.
For Tower Defense, I really have only played fanmade mods of other games, like Warcraft 3.
I kept waiting for you to mention most of the genres I like. You said you didn't like FPS games because of Duck Hunt (seriously?) but have you never played the old school Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, or Descent games? Or the licensed Star Wars games like Dark Forces or the Star Trek Elite Force series? Or Half-Life? Duke Nukem 3D? Serious Sam? Quake? Deus Ex? So much great stuff there.
And what about rail shooters? RTS? 4X? Turn-based strategy? Text adventures? Flight simulator? Space simulator? Artillery/Worms style games? City/community building/management? Sandbox games? I mean, these are some of the most major genres of my favorite games, how can you not even mention them?
hi Erik (*w*)/ im a big fan of your channel but this is my first comentary beacuse....no excuse, is my faul hahaha. Anyway im sure you now this but this is the data Hunting Ground as a remake in ps4 but the bad news is Only in the Japanese Store and whit the original name, it nos easy find but it you now the game exist is more easy. Badly not make a ps4 ver of Rule of Rose but no one win everytime ¬_¬
ОтветитьThanks Erick, very cool video. I'm sure majority of subscribers don't mind if you'll be discuss not only JRPG's on your chanell.
ОтветитьFor Visual Novel I highly recommend 999 (nine hours, nine persons, nine doors). The sequel (VLR) is very good as well but 999 is a true masterpiece.
ОтветитьA Plague's Tale Innocence is fantastic. I just barely started playing it this year and it is among my favorites.
ОтветитьThank you for Crash Team Racing!!
ОтветитьFun fact: if you like fighting games Mr. Landon, Tatsunoko Vs Capcom on the Wii (strictly the U.S. version - Japan's got fully different endings) had a hidden character Joe The Condor. Beating the game with him shows Fiona from Haunting Grounds as a cameo getting saved by all sorts of stuff. Just a funny thing I came across as a completionist. I like when they do that rare shit.
ОтветитьIdk if you heard but there is going to be a ninja turtles beat em up game coming soon
ОтветитьPlague tale is so good.
ОтветитьType-Moon's visual novels are so engaging and different from other visual novels. It's kinda hard to find any outside of Japan because they were never released in the West.
Fingers crossed we get Tsukihime A piece of blue glass moon localized. It's made on PS4 and Switch and not on Windows this time.
Since Melty Blood Type Lumina was announced for a worldwide release we can only hope Tsukihime get an official localization.
Fun video. Lots of good choices in here, a bunch are my favourites as well.
