I've always thought crypto is dumb and basically not much better than gambling considering how volatile crypto markets are, but seeing Larry David in a crypto commercial didn't lower my regard for him lol. I just view it as people who promote crypto tend to be so enormously wealthy anyway that they can get whatever celebrity they want to be in their ads

He must have asked Jeff, because if you watch Curb you’ll notice that Jeff never, ever critiques anything LD says. Anytime LD complains about someone or, more frequently, some idiosyncratic social norm, Jeff’s response is invariably “that’s crazy! That makes no sense!”

But he didn't even endorse anything. He agreed to play a role in a skit that was used for advertisement. He played a character, same as any other actor would. Unless you somehow think he played himself and was alive when the wheel was invented...

To be fair that ad became legendary because of the lawsuit and overall irony of the message.
