And what about tables?!

Would it be possible to have some control over overrides within a group below/beside 'overrides' in the inspector. 

An example would be a total for repeated symbols, in this case: 

Filters (-) [ 5 ] (+)
with 5 being editable type.

I'm just thinking it may be a bit time consuming going into the dropdown for each instance to select none if it would require making groups with nested symbols account for uses with the most elements to benefit from some of the smart layout features.

Could you make this possible with text layers too? I do not want to turn every single thing into a symbol so this can work.

TL;DW: Enable Smart Layout on your nested symbols, too.
