All useful information but I personally would add a bit more info on different types of betta fish, both so the viewer can know about them and decide which they like best, but also to let them know about possible health problems they might have, like how long-finned bettas often struggle from their fins being prone to damage and disease, while short-finned bettas tend to be much hardier and more active

Edit: on a related note, some people claim that certain types are more or less aggressive than others, and while it is true that aggression can be genetic, it’s not an exact rule and there are numerous exceptions
I know one fish keeper that had a very feisty halfmoon and a very peaceful plakat, for example, even though these are considered the least and most aggressive types of betta respectively (I personally think this mindset comes from how halfmoons have giant fins that slow them down and keep them from going after tankmates, even if they have an aggressive personality [which was actually the case with this one], while plakats have shorter fins making it much easier for them to chase after other fish in the event they act aggressively)

I was not planning on buying a Betta fish but I went to a well known pet store and saw them in a small cup. There was a Betta with long fins and it could barely move. I got him and another Betta fish. On the same day, I got 5gal tanks for each and everything else. Lesson learned #1- Bettas do not like strong currents #2- Water conditioner is needed #3- They need a heater #4 - They prefer wide tanks rather than tall/long tanks to swim #5- They like natural 🍁 🍃/betta log.

How are you gonna say blue and red fish are more aggressive 😂 that’s like saying only white and black people are aggressive people 🤦🏻‍♀️ it don’t matter what betta you get it’s depends on the personality, even your picture to this video was dumb you chose one of the ugly fish to be “put as a breeder” smh this guy don’t know what he’s talking about. I got a beautiful orange and blue beta fish and got him all set up in a 5 gallon tank with a filter and a heater with a thermometer that I monitor.
After about a month, my beta’s tail is gone and I am trying to find information on what to do. It breaks my heart. He still eats well and is very responsive. His water is clean and I side the proper water conditioner. I wish I could find someone around here to help me find out what is going on. I am so afraid for him to die. :(
I have had betas before and this has never happened. I doubt I will ever get another one after this. It’s heartbreaking.

Can I put my plakat betta with angle or serpae tetra because this fish nipping my half moon betta so I want to know they fish can live with plakat betta?

Glofish are not cruel they live perfect live only reason because humas added in forasanit into thier genome but i know it's not natural but 90% of pets
Industry are not natural they are by selective breeding including your betta and domestic bettas are hybrid of betta splendence and imbells and another spices that i forgot about so glo betta is a gmo

I lost my white female Crowntail to Dropsy 😢 so after some deep cleaning I went to my local Pets Mart and found the saddest one I saw. I ended up with a all black girl. Her name is Gilly and after two months she’s doing well.

I only choose the samoerai ones.

I chose the saddest sickest Betta fish . And named him scuba Steve he’s beautiful now his baby fin is growing in so beautifully. And he’s very sweet boy. Any betta deserves love .JMO :)

My beta is 1 year old and it stays on a bowl aquarium and I noticed that it decolorized

My new betta has different colouration on his head and gills , there r pink/purple circular spots in his head and gills look dark purple
btw his body is mostly pinkish white with dark red tails
I initially thought it maybe ammonia poisoning from the store but they r still exsitent after more than a week of keeping in my quality tank
but the betta is otherwise healthy and extremely active except the unusual colourations on the head and gills
any advise? p.n : the colourations r not bumps but only colours

Plakats are the hardiest types
I would suggest starting with plakats for any new betta keepers
