The speech was interesting but appearing at the rnc seemed to give approval for the anti worker candidate even though the words weren't said
ОтветитьI don’t think Trump is “One Tough SOB”, he was still wearing a bandage 5 days later. 🤷♀️. I think the injury came from glass from the broken teleprompter. If you look where he was, the bullet came towards the left. I know he turned his head, but I don’t see how he turned his head 280 degrees, and then it grazed his ear?
If I am wrong, I get it, but that is what I am thinking.
I was so disappointed in the fact that Sean O’Brien gave the speech. One of my daughters was so impressed with the convention, how they reached out to different groups. The GOP will never do anything for regular people. I got in a fight with her about it. Anyone can lie.
The rnc candidate is one of those elites
ОтветитьThe rnc candidate appointed anti worker judges
Ответитьhe didnt call out the gop or moon the crowed. he failed
ОтветитьTeamster Strong❤
ОтветитьShame on you.
ОтветитьEver since ronald Reagan the republican party has openly been trying to destroy unions in America
Ответитьi'm a teamster and my pension supports me in my retirement.
ОтветитьI’m not a fan of the work unions I live in Texas and it’s a at will state that I agree with.
ОтветитьI didnt listen to the speech. Shouldn't we be trying to unite all working class people? There is very little chance for real change while we remain in this democrat/republican paradigm. Id love to see the end of political parties.
ОтветитьAhhhh. The Teamsters. Donating millions of dollars every year to the 2 political parties that send union jobs to Mexico and China.
ОтветитьI'm glad to hear straight from the workers about their specific concerns. But as a casual listener to the Sean O'Brian speech, I don't agree he was wrong to go to the RNC. Only having your camp hear what you need results in gridlock. It's easy for those leaders not getting results for you to blame the other side. Both sides need to hear the complaints. I've read enough comments from truckers and drivers in both the US and Canada to know they are feeling targeted. The corporate side of the right may feel like the enemy. But much of the voters on the right are employees, and many blue collar. They have overlapping concerns with you. I feel like there is a spectrum of abilities on the right to hear and understand labor's issues. Many voters on the right are already concerned with corporate leverage crushing the worker.
Another thing being an older former Dem, Trump was a Dem himself until switching to run for office. His well known mentor, Roy Kohn, from the 1980s was clearly and flamboyantly gay. There was a gay fundraising event at Mar A Lago. It was likely initiated by Melania as reported in April of this year by ABC News. I feel like Donald Trump and the religious right aren't really as in alignment as people have been lead to believe. In April Newsweek ran a story that gay Republican groups saw an explosion in membership. Certainly the Walk Away from Dems campaign was spearheaded by gay NYC resident Brandon Straka.
Governor Tim Walz is the best choice to replace Biden! And he could be a good fix for the horrible Israel Palestine political problem that Biden flunked and Trump is demonically worse.
Tim Walz can speak and looks capable of destroying Trump in debate. Governor Walz at least should be the VP of Harris if he is prevented from replacing Biden.
The main problem with how we got here is when somebody in a position of high power or responsibility loses their intellectual ability and refuses to step aside. POTUS is the pinnacle of that situation. Look what happened with Senator Feinstein who had no idea where she was and there was basically a shadow senator, i.e. Nancy Pelosi's daughter. Biden is equivalent to Eisenhower being president just before he died, and 80% of of Americans think he is too old to be president. So with democracy on the balance we get the worst candidate to beat fascist Trump. The 2020 and 2024 primaries where unfairly rigged to give us Biden. People want an FDR, JFK or anything better than Biden. Biden implied he stay one term. He has been incredibly weak on stopping Israel genocide against Gaza compared to prior American presidents actually drawing hard red lines, but AIPAC deserves some credit for that.
Solid far leftist take. Wheres the balance. Just an extremist take that goes nowhere. This was just a podcast to vent and rant. Thats all one can expect when people are still under the spell of the left vs right paradigm. The illusion is being democrat or being republican.
ОтветитьStop being so politically correct.
ОтветитьHope the five Republicans in Congress help the Teamsters but I doubt it
ОтветитьThat's why I will no longer vote for either an r or a d
Jill Stein 2024! A candidate that is for the working class and for ending all these crazy wars
I just watched William Francis Buckley's episode of Firing Line on unions in 1966 and I am surprised Right-To-Work laws are not nationwide. Ensure joining an union is easy, convince them to join and do not be corrupt. Easy. If you cannot do that then why would I trust you?
ОтветитьThis was excellent to hear from all these people on O'Brien's speech. Thanks!
ОтветитьAsk Yellow Freight teamsters their opinion of SeanO
ОтветитьAmazing podcast! I throughly enjoyed everyone sharing their thoughts without a rebuttal.
ОтветитьSo after nearly 2 hours I can safely say, if you vote democrat you’re mad. If you vote republican you’re happy.
ОтветитьIt was Biden, who stood out there with the auto workers…
ОтветитьCan you say sellout.
ОтветитьAs someone with no dog in this fight, it was such pathetically transparent pandering when he set up his contrast starting with "anti union" - and then went with the right-wing slur of "tHe LeFt!!!!" instead of using "pro union," which would be the opposite in the pair.
ОтветитьFirst, I want to say that this was very informative.
It would have been better if each person had re stated their name, because the woman who spoke about the need to create a labor party, had my full attention!
I have been following the goings on in Britain,a disaster that we need to learn from.
I think that labor unions should look to the Civil Rights Movement for inspiration. The fight for black people in America is never over.
That’s the mindset that needs to be instituted.
Gas prices wont benefit truck drivers, what a stupid statement to say that neither party wikl benefit truck drivers. Gas never got over 2.50 in my area with trump. Past 4 years hasnt gotten under 3.50-4 so idk how yhats wont benefit drivers or trucks...?
ОтветитьI enjoyed his speech.
Ответить🤔
ОтветитьJimmy Hoffa should come back from the grave just to kick Sean O'Brien's ass.
ОтветитьI STAND WITH O'BRIEN!
ОтветитьI used to be a union iron worker, i can hardly believe union members would vote republican
ОтветитьRidiculous! This rank and file Teamster for 27 years and counting is happy he spoke at the RNC.
ОтветитьWell my question is what will the so called labor movement do next ? Are we going to sit around and talk about it or take action and start to actually organize a major independent labor party. No more talk it’s time to take action now ! (SOB) Sean O’Brien has shown his true colors. The entire labor movement needs to mobilize !
ОтветитьSob is very wise and crafty he knows what he is doing. The house labor doesn’t start or stop the Teamsters either. The point that needs to be made is that a grass roots movement of all workers to act and make a statement !
ОтветитьI'm an independent. I've seen the good part of the Union and the bad. When politics are involved, it gets worse. It's a power play and has been since the time of Hoffa. Everyone involved tries to gain an advantage. Sean Obrien is narcissistic. He looks out for himself. He is smart, though. He is trying to make a bridge to the potential next president. Wouldn't you rather have the republicans as an ally? The democrats are not about to bend over for the working man, especially Kamala Harris. She is also looking out for her own interest.
ОтветитьSean is playing a game to elevate himself to the detriment of workers
The RNC has been hellbent on crushing union and getting American worker under heel. Trump finds joy in firing people and has been anti labor for years. He blew a lot of respect and come election time he will most likely be voted out.
Corporate media wants the drama of a close race because the worse things are on us, the more of our resources they can steal
ОтветитьTRAITOR SEAN O'BRIEN
ОтветитьMy first involvement with any union was Reagan's termination of Air traffic controllers. Then, the destruction of the aeronautics industry and farm workers union in Oklahoma and the dwindling of skilled labor in both fields brought about a new generation of middle-class workers post-civil rights movement.
My first direct involvement with unions was in the military, B.O.S.S, as a rep for my unit. Ten years later, I was elected shop steward and became the senior contract negotiator for a facilities management department for a local school district for 12 years before I retired this March. I don't know how I would have survived before 'we' unionized if it wasn't for my military pension.
This is all academic. All you have to do is download the PDF of Project 2024, type in 'collective bargaining' and 'unions,' and his [their] plans for workers will be laid out for all to see.
I think within the next 5 years you will start to see a huge exodus among young people out of America if this game to please these two party monopoly continue. The working class continues to be divided and fighting to fit into two holes that no body want them in.
ОтветитьO'Brein needs to be fired
ОтветитьI'm not hating on Obrien. The man is doing his job. Not ALL Teamsters vote blue. Trump extended an Olive branch and he took it. Dems ghosted us.
