It takes this crowd 5 seconds to get off beat when they clap to the music. This wasn't an issue in Rio or Beijing and has to be so annoying for the athletes to try to hit your music cues over that mess.

Amazing gymnastics era!

The one that impressed me the most during this was Mustafina- a year and a half earlier- torn ACL. Hockey players, baseball players, football players… many find that career ending. She came back and won FOUR medals including the bar’s crown.

Komova’ s coach should have gotten a deduction for grabbing her legs to keep her from falling. Remember when the USA got a deduction for an assistant grabbing and scooting off to the side. One of the other team’s coaches complained and the USA got robbed of a medal.

How I wish Aly had gone for that final flip on her opening pass. She decreased her D score by taking it out. She nailed the entire pass successfully in the event final. She could have won bronze if she performed it successfully in the all-around. But no worries, Aly! You were awesome, and you won an all-around medal in 2016. Too bad they couldn’t give two bronzes in 2012, really, but then would we have seen Aly competing in 2016? Maybe it was for the best in the end.

Gabby definitely deserved her win, but I am absolutely crushed for Komova. She placed second in so many competitions when she is a fabulous gymnast. Second in the all-around at the world championships in 2011, second in the team final in London, and then second in the all-around in London as well. She also had disappointing scores in the uneven bars final and the beam final too. She was truly one of the greatest gymnasts of her time and came so close to gold so many times. Dealing with so many harsh (and often very close) defeats must have been incredibly hard on her mentally.

Still after 10 years I would have loved to see Komova win. Perfect combination of artistry and dificulty to me

If Nastya had performed like in Beijing, she would have been a champion.

I don't understand why they only take two from each country. This is all around. They should take the best and let them compete. Its not really an all around (in my opinion) if some of the best are not allowed to compete. If they want 2 from each country, that's fine, but the top 24 or however many, should be the top 24. The competition could be spread out over a couple days, but I don't think making this change would add very many people to the competition, maybe a handful more. I'm sure Russia had a girl or two that should have competed. I think the us had one. Its just my opinion. They could still take the top 24 but then just add the ones that put the country over 2. Fur example, treasure the 24 like always, so these same girls competed, but then go down the list and add the girls who were skipped over due to the max number. I don't think that will add many to the mix, bc after about spot 10, I don't think there'd be many to add. I think spot 10 to 24 would be the same. Just a thought, but let the best compete. China, Russia, the US, and Romania probably have members wok m who deserve to compete since this is the all around.

And to think who is part of the amazing team the AA silver medalists make (Shawn Johnson, Svetlana Khorkina, Simona Amanar, Aly Raisman, Rebeca Andrade), Komova is part of this group of hugely distinct gymnasts (or better, queens) and deserves it. And millions of gymnastics fans became inconditional fans of her, she's admired and became indeed the personal favorite of thounsands (if not millions). She can be proud of the great job she did in London.

Russia is so much more artist in all their gymnastics! It's artistic and the American's just want to throw the big tricks. It's bullshit to me.

I feel Komova did not hold on to the vault. She could have avoided last two steps. Did not look that she wanted it this bad

Komova has always been a sore loser. In 2015 when after falling twice she accused the US team of using steroids and said China and the UK got lucky
