Hey Rob what's with all the drama, you had both sides done with arethriscope that's a doddle and recovery is in 4-6 weeks, been there done that on one side, and the other side i got a 6 inch scar and nerve damage in that area, doesn't stop me from doing anything though.

Hey Rob, a long time skulker. That's me. I have been reading your channel since you were Thailand Rob. I have been saving my pennies to come to Thailand to see for myself. I took your advice and wrote an E mail to Jamie Edwards. It was rejected for some technical reason. I am still in the US. trying to get my ducks lined up before I set sail. I had a bilateral hernia 4 hour op (two hernia, one on each side) at a hospital in Manila. Three small tiny incisions. They additionally spent the last 30 minutes doing an internal camera exam of all my major organs. Absolutely zero pain. Unbelievable. Now, 6 months later, absolutely fine. They gave me a video of all 4 hours of the operation. The hospital was like a dream, nurses too were beautiful.

I can REALLY empathize! I was kicked by a shod horse right in the groin. (Probably pay back for gelding him.) No drugs available in the paddock but there was a LOT of ice that helped, sort of. Also, after my double hernia operation I was released in 24 hours so I went and played a gig that night, at which for the first time I sat down through the whole 4 hours. However, drugs WERE available and I was told later I had never played better. I had to take their word for it because I thought I had missed most of the gig. Get well Rob! Did Pom show up?

Glad you're doing great, Rob! Don't push any heavy lifting, or anything. You'll have to be patient. Hernia surgery recovery times can be long and boring. Take is slow and easy!

Hope you get to feeling much better, and since they had hotel prices I hope you remembered to steal the towels.😅😅😅😅

Frankly, Bangkok has a number of superior hospitals and being able to go to any one of them is a real blessings and would yield positive results.😊
P.S. As a tourist to Thailand last year, I was seen by a Dentist, on emergency basis, at a public Thailand Hospital and I recieved as good of care as I would have in the USA, and it cost almost nothing. 😮😊

Is the mesh permanent

Remember rob, the danger is that you feel good and push it too hard, thinking that your healed up. Be sure and take it easy in the days that you feel no real pain, because it only takes a little too much and you will rip the sutures or the mesh. It drove me crazy having to remind myself of that for a few months after getting it done. So go slow, after you scar over your mesh, you should be back to normal, but only after you have come that far can you really stretch like you used to. Just a friendly reminder! 🙂

You did better than I did when I got out of surgery for my tonsils at 35. Gf at the time video me for an hour or so to make fun of my altered state.
I actually only remember going to sleep in the hospital. Being made fun of for a few minutes after waking from surgery and waking in my bed the next morning.
You did fine.

I don't know how you did that!!! I've worked in the Recovery Room...anesthetics affect your brain for about 9 months. You'e obviously intelligent. Most patients don't make that much sense.

OMG $2000 is so cheap. I just had a single hernia surgery and it was $18,000. Yeah USA…. Cough cough
