Wow, so funny hearing some of these opinions. I'm a "white" Aussie and here Chinese people have the reputation of being ambitious, hard-working, smart and beautiful, so it's so funny to hear Chinese people say those things about "white people". Nice that we think highly of one another :)

The beauty standard of fair skin may come from an association with wealth and affluence. If you were pail in the old days, it meant you didn’t have to be outside at the farm working all day, hence your family were probably doing well. I’m from Norway, and this turned around when being tan meant you had money to travel to southern Europe on vacation in the summer. Now people try to get tan in Norway.

I’m both Chinese and white so this was a very weird experience for me.

I was curious as to what Chinese people think of white people. It seems similar to what a Chinese guy I dated said. They are fascinated that we have all different eye and hair colors, yet we still seem to blend together and look similar to them! 😂 They like pale skin. He was so fascinated by how pale I was with less clothing on. I remember being fascinated by how hairless he mostly was. Ali Wong is not kidding. 🐬 He was humble. He was a bit frustrated at his English not being better but also didn’t want to make the effort. We were in the USA. I didn’t have a problem with learning some Chinese, but after seeing this video, I get what they mean about us being more driven and them being more relaxed. That was us!

I find this so interesting, I always thought China didn't really like foreigners. It's actually really nice to hear them say such nice things. They're beautiful and very knowledgeable people too, and I hope they realize it.

White? Looking at a mirror I do not see me as whiter than most of the Chinese persons interviewed, in fact some of them are definitely whiter than me!

As an Arab African I would never say a group looks better than me, there are so many ugly looking white people (born in a western country) too.

In America everyone isn't white looking. We all have differentr skin color, cultures, and hair, that's what makes us all unique also beautiful.

In terms of mate selection criteria, men and women have different standards. Women focus more on the social value of a man, while men choose their mates more according to their primitive instincts. So some of East Asian women choose white people , because white people grew up in developed countries and have higher social values (money, status, etc.).
Another example is : in the east asia，you always see that a beauty girl will prefer a Rich ugly man ,rather than a moneyless handsome! so women's Standards are complicated! If we want to make statistical comparison, we should first control the parameters: let both the East Asian and Western white, have the same social value, then let the woman choose, which can get more accurate results!
or .....we should know that Men's mate choice may be more instructive and reference valu, own to that men choose women always from their instincts!.
then, the fact is : East Asian man don't like Black and White woman from instinct, they like East Asian woman more (of course not sure at last ,it depand on the person! and there are also more factors, East Asian are more shy ,but they also alway be more vulnerable to capture when the woman make the first move !)! however Black and White man desire for East Woman crazily!

As a white person this video is very weird.

They may be surprised to find many white peoples think the same of them. They have beautiful unique features and their standards for education is super high. Usually Asian Americans are top students and their politeness far exceeds our own. Asians aim to please while most of us give only the respect given. While in other countries we try to be on our best behavior so not to offend anyone.💕😍🥹

I have often said it, China is by far the most ignorant and racist country in the world, it’s disgusting but non surprising given how restrictive it is to their citizens, wanting to criminalize blacks people in the media but only show good examples of white people, even though white people are usually more of a threat to Asians.
