I DO NOT recommend Ubuntu to anyone anymore. It will download some apps as snaps even when you use the apt package manager. Which is very different. Mint is my go-to for newbies.

I've been using Arch Linux for the last 5y, I first used it w/KDE and it worked seamlessly, later I got bored of it and installed Hyprland and had a few issues with Nvidia graphics that I solved easily

You had an issue with Microsoft store? I had to switch to windows 11 and risk losing ALL my data just to get the app to even open. And the time I was on windows 10 before that, or any OS before it broke on windows 10, it was fine.

Looks like you want perfection. Microsoft wants money and your privacy. Linux open source and can't violate copyrighed software. You'll need to create the operating system that you want. But I don't know if that is even possible.
