I feel my best in the truck. Home time is what brings me down. Of course the ole lady runs with me, under my own authority and bills are low. Shit market is the only thing that gets in my head. I’ve been shit on my whole life when it comes to jobs so it’s nothing new.

There would be plenty of people out at the cemetery who would like to swap places with you…make the best of all situations 👍🏻👍🏻

Hung up the keys last fall, it’s nice being able to shower in my own home whenever I want and not be treated like an animal everywhere I go. I love working my 40 hours and going home, there’s way more to life than just work and trucking

Another 3 yrs.go ask Andrew see what he would say.i had good otr company hazmat job and still turned in the keys.crappy cheap backhauls but the stress ain't worth it.sure we love trucking but is it really worth it

since i been a driver bro, the only thing i can say that has been consitant in this industry that each work it gets fuccin worse!! i was company/regional/ now owner op....nothing had gotten better. just different shit to stress over....this shit sux....bad. prolly tha worst decision ive ever made....well at least in tha top 10

I always stayed local as a driver , jome every night . It worked well for my situation , hauled gravel eith my own truck

That’s about as real as it gets. I even get a few of those nights with my job. I’m home every day. My bacon, greatly fluctuate being a tattoo artist. There are some super good weeks and then a few weeks I can be really bad right to the point of thinking, I got a CDL. Maybe I should go trucking again. Then I get to listen to you remember just how many hours it takes to truck. Thank God I don’t have a family at home or kids to raise. I got grandbabies so it might not be too bad being away all the time, but I don’t know how you do it. Plus you’re pretty young too. I know you want to be home a lot more. But it’s great that you’re doing what you need to do to provide the family and make end meet.

So you complain when your broke. Now u complain because your working. Just give it up already

I've done everything from cattle to flatbed to pilot cars to dry van to local dump work and I can tell you OTR reefer was worse on my mental health than any trucking I ever did. The weird hours, people treat you like shit, inner city driving, rejected trailers, heavy as hell constantly, assface brokers. I did it 18 months coast to coast and then quit and swore off reefer forever.

Get out that truck and Excercise my man boost that test and find something to do mentally I learned to deal with this industry like I dealt with the solitaire confinement in Prison at 17 years old and didn’t see freedom till 10 years after . You are not doing to bad it could be worse than this 🫡
