ОтветитьThank you. I am 58 and have had two injuries that kept me from being active for years. I lost a good deal of weight recently, only to discover my muscles have atrophied. Especially my gluts in the back if you know what I mean. I have exercises that I did to help me with my injuries that I have been doing because they made me stronger at that time, but I needed something for this particular muscle which I didn't have.

ОтветитьAny modifications or extra considerations for pregnancy? I find I can still do it at 20 weeks, though my hips are aching when I first lie down, but may need belly support later on. Squats never worked for me and pelvic stability is so crucial at this time.

ОтветитьGreat exercise! Just after a few days of practice my hip and back pain is so much better. I was also having problems sitting any length of time, but that has also greatly improved. I have been quite surprised to see the results this fast and will definitely check out your other videos as well.

ОтветитьWhile this is a great exercise and it's especially good for an older person due to not being stressful on the joints, I would also recommend to the people with healthy knees as well as the younger people to try reverse lunges. Start slowly, going from 1 leg to the other, 3 sets of 20 with 3 minute breaks and progress toward the goal of 3 sets of 50. By afterwards you can start using some weights, maybe 2kg in both hands and if you don't have any health issue you can then steadily increase it. I personally noticed that this routine really helped me develop glute strength. I used to do it with 2 dumbells of 10 kg, but I'm sure it'll be good with lower weights as well.

This exercise strengthens the Tensor Fasciae Latae. To strengthen the glute, squats or burpees would be a lot more effective.

I have pain in my left buttock, despite being 44 years old. Went to an orthopod who said that the gluteus muscles needed strengthening. Will this exercise help strengthen them?
ОтветитьThank you. I'm 66 and have one ereplacement that went bad and in need of another one that I'm petrified to have taken care of because of the first disaster. I've also had back surgery that didn't go well either. So with all that being said, I'm in constant pain I have to work and the neuropathy in my legs and feet are just so intense I'm going to try this exercise starting today and see how much relief I get.
