Only things I’d hard disagree with is placement of better Minecraft, as any Luna pixel modpack is the worse than those AI modpacks you find.
Having a whole category for modpacks you haven’t played is also pretty lazy.

I played some lower end modpacks cus i have a bad pc and now that i use linux i can play more modpacks with decent performance even tho some modpacks still dont work like sky factory 4 or stoneblock also i am looking for some old modpacks that i watched back then in like 2014-2018 or later like tekkit, hexxit, sky factory, and there was another one with project e and it was like a one block modpack woth a free philosophers stone to get resources and also there was a moon survival modpack that i wanted to play so bad also i made my own (badly made) modpack with some of my friends and i quit minecraft for around 1.5 years and recently got back into mc and modded mc. If you have some good modpacks that give a new experience that are not that popular and are not like skyblock u can write some in the replies.

RLCraft is a good pack, and it's like a more advanced and updated version of Blood & Bones. The major problem with it though is your start HEAVILY relies on where you spawn. Anything other than something like a plains with a water pool/river/ ocean near by isn't worth the start. Deserts and snow biomes are the WORST spawns with that body temperature factor in play. That and a much needed mod for it to have a smoother less headache inducing start, is the Starting Inventory mod. Where you can create a basic starting inventory that's not going to make you overpowered from the get go, but also won't make you die 20 million times before getting even the basic necessities

Hated Minecraft until I played the original Tekkit. Will never play vanilla. Surprised Project Ozone 3 is not on the list. Also, Sky Factory 3 over 4 anyday. Not a fan of the storage in 4. You can always start these skyblocks on normal land. Your resource gathering is only affected in a good or bad way depending on preference.

ATM 8 is annoying because it took away ore charms with no mention in the quest book of why they were not included, and no mention of an alternate mod.

Rlcraft is God tier for me personally, especially the previous version to the current one. The fight and struggle from constant death and destruction to making a home that is safe and the progression from tickling enemies and getting one shotted, all they way to the enemes tickling you and you one shotting them feels so earned. I REALLY reccomend you try it. Another one that i love and reccomend everyone to try is Stoneblock 2, Stoneblock 1 feels outdated and Stoneblock 3 feels over updated, but Stoneblock 2 is great.

Demo was just released yesterday on Beta it has a full Nasa Center Built in it and a Giant Space Station plus Mega Mall water park a Castle plus a lot more.
It's still in development so its only like 95% done.

I agree with your ranking for GT:NH, but it's such a unique case that's it's really hard to actually compare with all the other modpacks. It's similar to Divine Journey 2 when it comes to incorporating all the different mods into it's own progression system and making them work for each other. It changes some mods so much it feels like you're playing a completely different thing, which is really cool. But while amazing, the main problem with GT:NH is that it's made for an EXTREMELY specific audience. In GT:NH you WILL sit in your factory for literal hundreds of hours, constantly expanding it together with all the resource gathering and troubleshooting that entails. At some point classic adventuring becomes useless, combat too easy and there's very little left to do but work on your factory. If you like that type of gameplay (some people really do), it's 100% the best modpack there is. If you don't like it, it very soon becomes nightmare.

Edit: Also, since you seem knowledgeable on the topic: Could you recommend me a modpack that's a really tough exploration focused pack, ideally with a questbook. I'm looking for a pack that'll make me constantly second-guess myself and be forced to tread carefully. Searching for them is really hard, since when looking for any "hardcore exploration packs" you're flooded with clickbait videos and mid articles.

what would u recommend in terms coo dimensions tons of things to do, good mechanics, weapons and gear cool items but nothing broken cause I played crazy craft and after just 3 hours we built an alchemy circle and had infinite everything and we were unkillable with the morph mod and gear we had, we took no fall damage and didn’t starve it got boring

Do you have any recommendations for lightweight mod packs? I really want one with yungs caves and dungeons and stuff with artifacts mod. It’s going to be on a server, and usually I would’ve done crucial 2, but it has a very bad server setup for docker.

Lmao, RLcraft belongs in the high tiers because it completely violates whatever remains of normal minecraft. And if someone is combat oriented, I'd say they'll much prefer that.
